5 days til SURGERY !!!

I just wanna share my news, had my pre-op appt. today and surgery is at 12:30 on Wednesday !!! I have no special pre-op diet which I'm thankful for, but I'm choosing to do 2 days of clear liquids before thinking it will help me get used to the after :) It's been a long process and I'm glad the time is near. I'm starting to get a little nervous but it's gonna be a piece of cake... (hahhaha maybe I shouldn't have said THAT LOL)  I got this !!! AND I will be going back to work a week after surgery. Scheduled to work on Christmas day. 

Congratulation and best of luck. It sounds like you have a great attitude and will make out wonderfully-(Piece of chocolate whipped cream red velvet cake). You may be able to go back to work a week after surgery but you may want to allow yourself a few more days if needed. I had my surgery 9 days ago and planned on walking home the 3 blocks from the hospital upon release and that was not happening. I'm doing great now though. Keep us posted.

Congrats and love your attitude. I suggest coming up with a plan B about your work return date, just in case. I planned to go back at 2 weeks but I am now 3 weeks and 4 day postop and just starting to feel ready to go back. 

Yes! I have a Plan B :)  I have scheduled someone to work for me in case I'm not ready. I only scheduled myself 4 days JUST IN CASE. My note is going to say back to work 12/25 AS TOLERATED 

I am 5 days out and can't imagine having to go back to work after a week. If you're feeling good on the outside I would take a moment to just let your body heal. Work can wait. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Good luck!  I'm glad you have a plan B.  I was really hoping to go back after a week, but I ended up going after two weeks.  The new year is going to be amazing!
