starting on week 6 post op tomorrow....... Can I still be in 3 week stall period.....
There's a magic pill? Why was I not tokd about this? Why did I bother having surgery?
True. At your highest of 475, I would have tried anything, your incredibly lucky u weren't bed bound and or dead. That's why I never let it get that bad and took drastic action before I ate myself to death
Yeah, it took me a lot longer than it should have to smarten up. So cheer up, it can still happen for you.

Wow. Incredibly rude. I know for a fact Grim is doing things the right way and will maintain his loss. If I were to take a poll, people would probably not say the same about you.
Weight loss drugs are not the answer and you are giving the OP bad advice.
Also, since you are already an expert in everything else, please take the time to learn proper grammar (you need to learn the difference between "your" and "you're" in particular, which is probably why you use the "ur" abbreviation).

It's not ur fault, it's the bodies way of trying to hold onto bodyfat by shutting down metabolism through the thyroid gland etc. I used phentermine to pull me out of 2 stalls so far. Ask your doctor or surgeon for it and be firm, cuz if u don't lose any more weight in a few weeks time u might as well be discussing revision options already ie. longer bypass or duodenal switch
It's not a long term solution the phentermine but atleast it will get things moving in the right direction
That has got to be some of the worst advice to give someone who is just going through a normal stall.
Phentermine is not good for anyone to be taking and telling someone who is only 6 weeks out they should do it or look to a revision if they don't lose anymore weight is just crazy.
Why isn't phentermine good for someone to be taking? Why do qualified registered doctors with credentials dispense this medication, yet inanet doctors who obtained their medical degrees on google oppose it? Also what do u think a revision is for? If u didn't already know that a revision is required for patients who can't lose or maintain 50% EWL, than I'm sorry I refuse to have such conversation. Of course u wouldn't jump on the operating table 2 months post op for a revision, my god taken out of context way to the extreme cray cray lol. What I obviously conveyed, was that she should keep all options open as u can never for see into the future and it's always good to have a backup plan. It's no good someone beating themselves up because they can't lose the weight, as many factors play into a successful outcome - the type of operation being one
I find it amusing the people who criticise other's opinions and journeys, yet they offer absolutely no diet or weight loss advice of their own to this lady who asked for help?!
Two months out from some hinky experimental surgery, a month on the boards and you're an expert! Gotta love it! Stick around, dude, you're going to be priceless addition to the crazy on here
10 years post op and still dubious. That's ok Kimmy, I can teach u. In the following study, that so called "hinky experimental surgery" achieved an astonishing EWL of wait for it...89% VS Roux-n-y which managed just 71%. That figure even eclipses duodenal switch data. Brb getting ripped

A short term study with 20 experimental patients. Good luck going forward. Maybe they'll have an experimental revision surgery.

Statistician here. Not sure how they hit p>.002 with n = 20. I understand that early medical studies often have small observation groups, but I'm leery of anyone drawing a firm conclusion from n < 30.
