Why isn't phentermine good for someone to be taking? Why do qualified registered doctors with credentials dispense this medication, yet inanet doctors who obtained their medical degrees on google oppose it? Also what do u think a revision is for? If u didn't already know that a revision is required for patients who can't lose or maintain 50% EWL, than I'm sorry I refuse to have such conversation. Of course u wouldn't jump on the operating table 2 months post op for a revision, my god taken out of context way to the extreme cray cray lol. What I obviously conveyed, was that she should keep all options open as u can never for see into the future and it's always good to have a backup plan. It's no good someone beating themselves up because they can't lose the weight, as many factors play into a successful outcome - the type of operation being one
I find it amusing the people who criticise other's opinions and journeys, yet they offer absolutely no diet or weight loss advice of their own to this lady who asked for help?!
Thank YOU, Dr. Internet, for telling us when a revision is required.

It's not ur fault, it's the bodies way of trying to hold onto bodyfat by shutting down metabolism through the thyroid gland etc. I used phentermine to pull me out of 2 stalls so far. Ask your doctor or surgeon for it and be firm, cuz if u don't lose any more weight in a few weeks time u might as well be discussing revision options already ie. longer bypass or duodenal switch
It's not a long term solution the phentermine but atleast it will get things moving in the right direction
On 11/22/14, you posted that you had your mgb three weeks prior which calculates to the last week of October, right?
And you've had two stalls already and taken phentermine to "pull" you out of them? They must do things very differently in the land of Oz.

Hey mate, well it's quite simple just basic physiology, no rocket science required I promise. I was a lightweight hence we lose slower than the super obese patient would. My starting weight was around your current weight. Ps love the profile pic, best advice u could follow Luls

Yes, I've been stalled for 3 weeks (since 2nd week of surgery). I just broke it today. I had lost 25lbs and my body was like "no more". Food wise I'm right where you are. 600 calories a day, trying to reach 70 protein but I'm a little shore, under 50 carbs a day, etc.
I won't be working out until the new year (other than a lot of walking), just because of pain and soreness issues. Giving myself another two weeks to heal before getting vigorous.
