2 Weeks Out-Normal Weight Loss?

I have a question...I am two weeks post op for RNY.  My weight loss is 15 lbs.  Can anyone tell me if this is the normal amount of weight loss for RNY patients?  I have no idea and am a little concerned as the nutritionist told me that most of her first time post op patients, they lose between 10-15 lbs on their first visit and when I saw her for my first visit, at the time, I was only down 7 lbs.  My first visit with her was 7 days after surgery.  I thought that was pretty good weight loss, just needing your thoughts.

Thanks again

You're doing amazing!  I was still so full of gas my first week that I only lost four pounds! I'm less than two weeks out now and am down 17 pounds. It's just so strange how it just seems to melt off isn't it??  Keep up the good work!!!

Wow!  I can't believe you lost 13 lbs in less than a week!  Seems we're right where we should be. Excellent work!  Did your physician happen to tell you when you could start exercising, other than walking?  They never told me.  I guess I can ask in my one month follow up.

No,  he didn't.  I plan on asking on Wednesday when I go for another follow up.

I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and the doc was thrilled, but I don't think there's a "normal" ... he did tell me the heavier you are to start the more you will lose in a faster time frame... why, I don't know

I really don't think there is a "normal". Everyone seems to be different. I'm down 28lbs in about 2 weeks, but I started out so much heavier than you that our % are pretty close. I'm trying to stay away from the scale. It messes with my mental game :)
