PCOS Question

Do the symptoms of PCOS go away? I have had PCOS since I was 16 and I have the awful hair growth, irregular periods (sorry if that's tmi) I was just wondering once the weight starts coming off and things start mellowing out, will the hair growth slow down and all that? Thanks for any replies.

That is my understanding after speaking with a friend with PCOS, but I'm sorry i don't know first hand.

I have to say mine did. The hair growth slowed down. Things began to regulate. Everyone is different per my docs. Hope this helps.

My hormones were regulated & periods became like clockwork (they never were regular prior to). I still have unwanted facial hair....not sure why that never changed. However, I was able to get pregnant naturally after 12 years of trying and failing. My periods are still like clockwork. Hope everything falls into place for you!!

I understand they are supposed to. I had been diagnosed with PCOS, but hadn't been doing any treatment for years as my symptoms were not super severe. I wish I could help, but I'm starting menopause which wreaks havoc on many of the same areas.
