Is my goal reasonable?
I am just shy of my one year mark. (Jan15th) I'm down to a 129 pounds give or take for water weight and while I'm under my surgeons orginal goal I would like to lose another 15 pounds since I'm only 5'1. While I'm very happy with my success (I have a normal BMI). I just want to drop down towards the lower end of normal to allow myself a little wiggle room in case of bounce back weight after my malabsorbtion stops. Do you think I'll be able to accomplish 15 more pounds before I lose my malabsorbtion.

I think you are saying you weigh 129? not you lost 129lbs. That being said another 15lbs is still in a normal weight range. My doc says your body will know when to stop, yoou don't have to make it happen. So keep doing what you are doing and if you keep losing, you have your answer.

Anything is possible - your body will stop when it's ready. Keep doing what works for you and allow yourself time to get there. There isn't a switch that turns off on the 18 month mark. It may take you another year or one month - who can know? At 17 months post-op I am 5'4 and weigh 120 lb. That is 15 lb below my goal and 25 lb below my surgeon's goal. My body seems to be happy here - I am not wanting to lose anymore and despite not changing anything in my diet no I am staying put. This is a wild ride for sure - be realistic, but not fatalistic in terms of timelines and goal. You can lose weight after malabsorption ends - plenty do!
