Ever since I started my pre-op liquid diet, my cycle has been royally screwed up, any one else have this happen? Started 3 days early & hasn't stopped since 12/17, crazy, I'm thinking that the drastically low calorie started the screw up & then the surgery restarted or kept it going, not really sure

mine got screwed up but not til after the surgery. Doc said this will happen, as the weight loss AND the anesthesia will cause it.

You are definitely not alone. I have a Mirena IUD and haven't seen the shadow of a menstrual cycle for 2 years and now I can feel my body trying to spark one up about once every two weeks. I have read over and over again that most women have some extra "activity" in this area after surgery.

I started my  period Dec 14th or so and had my surgery Dec 16th. I just finished my cycle 2 days ago. Over 3 weeks! I wanted to scream, but I think it's settling down now. Seems to be common after surgery, but ugh!

Referral - Feb 25th, 2014. Info Session - April 7th
Surgeon#1 - May 15th  Dr. Glazer - July 23rd, Dietitian/Social Worker/RN - Aug 1st, Surgeon #2 - Sept 10th, Surgery - Dec 16th, 2014!

The longer periods around surgery could also be related to the Lovanox they give you to prevent blood clotting.  That is what caused it for me, anyways.  I had a 3-week period during/after surgery.  Then it has been 5-6 weeks since that one ended and nothing yet.

As everyone else had said I think this is pretty common. I am five months out and I have had a cycle every month but it's off. I have also noticed since surgery that I have the absolute worse back cramps EVER! The only good thing is that I have noticed that I lose the most weight AFTER my cycle.
