My mom is on the clear liquid diet and she's getting bored on what she's drinking so I was wondering if you guys had any creative ideas for this stage of the journey. Thanks!

Oh man, do I know the feeling.  I'm on Day 2 of clear liquids (pre-op).    My nutritionist allows broth, so I bought Ramen Noodles and am only using the seasoning to flavor the water.  I'm only doing this once a day since its high in sodium.  Good luck to your mom, I hope someone comes up with some great ideas for us.

Thanks!  Good luck to you as well!  & That's a smart idea with the Ramen Noodles, I never thought of that. :)

Non caffeinated herbal tea if she is allowed it. It comes in tons of flavors. Vegetable broth is another option if it is on her plan.

I tried to make "meals"  herbal tea when I got up then protein shake. Lunch was broth shake and  sf popsicle and dinner same. Had broth herbal tea when I needed something more. Crystal lite slushie was nice as well but it was summer when I did 10 days. I like warm things in winter so I would probably do the tea and broth now if I had to do it again which I plan on never having to do again

SF popsicles...never ate them before surgery but they were great after surgery. Sometimes I like to buy a quart of Chicken broth from the local chinese place...nothing in it. Tastes different and good. My version of chinese takeout...LOL
