at 2 days out just focus on staying hydrated whatever it takes. I couldn't do the broth or jello either, but I couldn't do the SF popsicles either LOL It was water and decaf tea for me, but like I said, get your hydration (sugar free) where you can. Crystal Light is also an option

the pink lemonade is yummy and quenches your thirst. I know I've had dry mouth bad since surgery, this helps.

Yes, Crystal Light Strawberry Lemonade was the only thing I could tolerate for a couple of months. Drinking water was like swallowing a baseball to me. Still hard. Love me some Crystal Light!!  (And not the store brands either!)

yes, that's a great way to explain how it feels when I swallow water, it hurts... Glad I'm not the only one.

SF Popsicles are my new best friend. Hated all Popsicles prior to surgery. Love em now!

I had to get away from coffee and hot tea because I like to put cream and sugar in it.  Now for a  hot drink, since your throat hurts, I put crystal light in water that is hot .  It tastes wonderful when you need something hot to drink.

I lived on SF popsicles for weeks after my surgery.  It was the only way I could get liquids down.  Just make sure to check the brand.  Popsicle brand doesn't use sorbitol but many store brand SF pops do!
