Question about post-op diet

Tried to call my surgeons office to ask my question but they are closed for the weekend!  I am wondering if I can eat refried black beans thinned in broth for protein during my 2 week post op liquid diet, maybe 2 oz.? I am not a dairy person for every meal and can only eat cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and protein shakes so many times before they make me sick to my stomach.  Thoughts?

"Protein" usually means 10+g protein per 100 calories. Black beans have about 6, so they're probably not the best source.

The texture of the beans might make you sicker than yogurt.  My pouch was very sensitive for the first week.  If you are able to tolerate the refried beans, you could add unflavored protein powder to bring up the protein grams.
