NSV and a few thoughts...

The bad news is... I now have nothing to wear... the good news: I can wear mostly a large shirt at this point! I was able to rid my closet of all the 1X to 3X items!! Never in my life could I have described the feelings I felt when I would try item after item on and they would look too big and I would then add them to the "donate" pile. I'm still living from this high 3 days later lol I used to be a tight size 20 pants and now I'm in the "my 18s are too big"  and "my 16s are a little too snug" stage. The boyfriend and I are leaving on our romantic getaway to Disney World in two weeks and my goal is to be less than 200 lbs. I have to lose 10 lbs yet... I'll do my best and hope to god I can make it!!!

My other thoughts: Why the heck do I crave sweets more now than ever??? I want ice cream aaalllll the time!!! How does that happen? Everything makes me sick to my stomach except jerky, string cheese, shakes, and salad with grilled chicken. But I still find myself wanting ice cream and cake constantly, I didn't even want them before surgery. It's so weird because I KNOW  it would make me sick. I refuse to even try. I have a pretty sensitive tummy. Which makes my eating habits good because I'm able to be consistent and know I'm making good choices. Don't get me wrong, sinking my teeth into a good ice cream cone is a nice day dream once in a while lol

I craved ice cream after surgery.  I bought a ice cream maker with built in refrigeration.  I would throw  a protein shake in and have a big bowl of ice cream in 20 minutes.  It about doubles when you make it into ice cream.

Most days I had two servings of protein ice cream in different flavors.  I had a variety of sugarfree syrups to flavor or use as toppings.

I also learned to make sugar-free and flour-free cakes and cookies.  I would never have lasted without those treats always available to me.

Any protein shake, extra syrup, and a huge scoop of sugar-free Cool Whip.  The cool whip makes it very creamy without many calories.  I did not measure it but it was about 1/4 cup, sometimes more.

For Lemon Sorbet, 1/4 cup lemon juice and one cup water.  Sometimes I added some Crystal Light lemonade.  This is not protein, but low calories and delicious.

Fuzzy Navel Nectar protein with Crystal Light Orange

Vanilla Protein blended with frozen strawberries and cool whip

just pick flavors you like and enjoy experimenting.

Reading this makes my mouth water.

Any particular brand of ice cream maker?

Mine was Lello 4070 Gelato Junior which was $191.00 in 2008.  No longer available on Amazon except at astronomical prices, but I have seen them on eBay.

Cuisinart ICE-100 Compressor Ice Cream and Gelato Maker might be a good choice.  It was expensive, but I used it daily and it really helped me to not cheat on my plan.

Egg face has tons of protein ice cream recipes as well. I'm an ice cream lover also but haven't had the craving for it yet. When I had the band it was my biggest trigger, so I'm trying to avoid it. However, making the protein ice cream just makes sense, especially since I struggle to get my protein in.
