I was unfortunately one of the unlucky ones with complications and went home with two drains.  my two week post op check up was today and the doctor removed my second/last drain.  I feel better already!  For those of you who went home with drains, how long did it take for the drain incisions to heal?

I know how you feel.  I had two drains as well.  One was removed before I left the hospital, 6 days out (I had open surgery) and a G-tube drain that I had to keep for a month.  It was painful and got caught on everything.  The G-tube hole probably closed up in about two weeks, but I felt so much better as soon as they took it out.  You will be fine, just keep the wound clean, you don't want an infection.  Good luck with your healing
