Half way to my goal

I am so excited. 4.5 months in and down 75 pounds. Just over half way to my goal of losing 140 pounds. WHOOT! Now that I have stopped the brief experiment with carbs (to shut the NUT up) the weight has been going down again.

Just recently I have felt 'smaller'. I feel closer to the counter when I am in the kitchen. I squeeze though narrow spots without bumping things. Went for a 6k hike (would do that presurgery too) and the next morning my ankles were just fine. (they used to complain and say I was to fat for long hikes..)

Hair is still falling out, but don't care. It will come back, and I have some swanky spring/summer hats to sport once it gets a tad bit warmer.

The worst is missing advil. I twisted my back the wrong way and my back is killing me. Tylenol does little to nothing.

Oh and update to the whole bloodwork thing. My regular doctor's office is a teaching clinic. So they ordered the full diagnostics on iron for my blood. I just need to get to the lab and have it taken (I HATE having my blood taken.. doesn't hurt.. just feels wrong) Horray for fresh out of doctor school doctors! All keen and not yet jaded.

:D

Excited to see where I am in another 4.5 months.

Congratulations - we are almost a matched pair and I totally share your excitement from being smaller and more active. I am almost 5 months out and down 74.6 lbs and finally lost a pound today after a two week stall - I was going to celebrate when I hit 75 lbs but my flab (little *****) had other ideas. Maybe I will have lost the other 0.4 in time for a new easter bonnet.

Anyway, yay to us!

Stalls suck. But I have found that I often get smaller whilst on a stall. Not sure how that works lol. Congrats on your success so far. Have you taken progress pics to document this? I have some, but not many. I keep forgetting.

Sadly I am less active now than I was pre surgery. Don't have all the energy I did before. (I was really active before surgery) Could be the less calories. It sure as heck isn't the low carb (silly NUT).

I hurt my back skydiving two years ago. After back surgery they prescribed opiates and told me I would have pain for life.

A physical therapist told me about Biofreeze. It works like ice, except without the mess and inconvenience of ice.

It is all I use for muscle or joint pain now.

Hey CONGRATULATIONS!

Woo hoo!

I really really really miss Advil/Motrin/Ibuprophen!

Yes the whole family of NSAIDS!

Keep it up!

Congratulations, that's great!

I'm sorry you're in pain; I never used advil or any NSAIDS because they triggered my asthma, but I find tylenol upsets my stomach now. I bought a tens machine but haven't tried it yet. Hopefully that will help.

I hate getting my blood taken too. Good luck with your results.
