Recovering well from the surgery Wednesday. Still haven't had a return to normal bowel function so instead of being discharged, I'm "conditionally discharged". Walking the halls as much as pain allows, good gracious this one hurts.

Doc said I did exceptionally well during surgery and everything looks good, I'm on my way back to healthy as soon as I toot.

Get to pooping woman!

Glad things went well, and hopefully you'll be feeling so much better in just a couple of days! Once that gas it out of you, you know it'll get better.

Take care of yourself

I had a hard time pooping too. So they gave me some milk of magnesia .

Lets just say that my contsipation was quickly forgotten after that. ;)

The doc prescribed milk of mag every 4 hours until something happens. I'm ready for that, gas pains hurt more than the incision pain at this point.

Drink as much as you can, if allowed. Not drinking enough will constipate you as well.

The first night, my nurse practically chastised me for drinking too much! I was so upset. Needless to say, I told my doc who promptly removed my IV fluids so I could resume drinking. Gah!
