Living on the Edge
i tried a new food today. Backstory: back in the day, like the 1980s, I lived in Cleveland Hts, OH, and there was this little soul food place called Mama's Boy. They had the best wings and fresh cut fries, in a box, called "Fun in a Box". Now, they have moved within walking distance to my home, way out here in Lake County. The son runs the place. It's been years, but he remembered me, even back then I was fat.
Ok, I ordered a beef brisket sandwich with sauce on the side. I didn't eat the bread, just the meat. It was delicious! The sauce is the best, per serving it has 2g of sugar. No ill effects. The only beef I've had was a hamburger on the grill, so brisket is new to me. I savored every bite. Also on the menu are ribs, wings, poboys, and different types of soul fried rice. I think only the brisket would be safe for me to eat at this time.
