So Important to Listen to your body!!!
A huge difference. I thought I was having the elusive 3 year gain but didn't understand why. I honestly rock my program and very rarely trip up and I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. A few days before I saw my bariatric internist to talk about why I was gaining.
I was immediately down 12 pounds the day after surgery, and as we know most people gain in the hospital.
I am wearing pants I haven't been able to wear since Christmas. My stomach is alot less bloated looking.

I am so sorry you are dealing with that. I am glad you are OK.
When we are in a chronic pain due to other issues, it is so easy to miss done additional pain - discomfort, and think that it may be just our usual "stuff". Glad you guys went to ER.

What you say is so true !! I'm 8+ years out from my RNY. I'm about 9 pounds over my goal weight. I, too, have had chronic nausea, foamies, reactive hypoglycemia and intestine issues. I'm gluten intolerant and my "diet" is very limited. I don't eat fast food and often eat the same thing for every meal. It gets boring, but my labs are good and it helps me limit nausea, abdominal pain, heartburn and constipation.
I, too, have had some surgeries (bowel obstructions and plastic surgery) since my RNY. Just 3 weeks ago I was sitting at my desk and reached for the scotch tape and my L4-L5 disc spontaneously ruptured requiring emergency spine surgery. I have been eating high protein for healing purposes and keeping the calories and carbs low as I know it would be easy to eat comfort food and gain weight and I don't want that to happen.
I tell myself "no" so many times because I know that the outcome may not be pleasant.
Thanks for your post - it's a good reminder.
