Think I'm dehydrated today

Slept quite a bit yesterday for some reason. I did get in a good amount of protein almost 34oz and did quite good on liquid so far, but today I feel a little spacey.

I'm not dizzy, just feel a bit uncoordinated, and of course I woke up with a bit of fuzzy mouth. It wasn't bone dry but it was getting there. So I feel that for today perhaps I should focus on just liquids and forgo worrying about protein for the day.

Looking for some opinions, and I'll probably call my doctors office tomorrow if the feelings from today don't subside. Is it ok to forgo protein for a day when your suspecting dehydration?

one good piece of info from all this. I am down to 279 as of today.. :)

In my opinion, yes. You are newly out of surgery and hydration is crazy important. I would focus on getting liquids in. Less protein for a day or two won't kill you!

Is that supposed to be 34g of protein? How many ounces of fluids are you getting? It is VERY important to get your fluids in this early on, protein second. Both if you can, but you really need to try for that 64oz of fluids per day. Hope you feel better!

I've been struggling to get my fluids in and my protein as well. I've decided that fluids are more important at this point. I'm at post op day 6 and I'm experiencing the awful protein sticky mouth. Popcicles have been helping me a LOT! Best of luck to you on your journey, I hope your healing process moves along smoothly!

Thank you everyone I'm trying to just drink, drink, drink today. Tried a little yogurt and it's not feeling all that great on my stomach atm. So back to just drinking water again. Not sure I like this because yesterday I felt fine, even great. Perhaps I walked too much today did a walk around a block but now my stomach is tied all up in knots. sigh I really need to get a groove going for this liquid thing.

I set about a billion alarms on my phone to remind me to eat and drink for the first 4 or 5 months. It was so hard to fit it all in then, and I really needed the reminders to get it all in.
