How far in advance of 4 yr follow up appointment should I get blood tests?

Hello Forum Folk - it has been such a long while since I was here - doing very well, so well, that in shock I realized my surgaversary isn't all that far away - Nov 4 2013 - Today I called TorontoWestern to ask if I even had appointments for the annual follow up .....well yes, on Nov 2nd. Yikes! My question to all you experienced ones is this, how many weeks ahead of time should I be getting the blood tests done, so the results reach the hospital in time for my assigned appointments on Nov 2? I know they should be done a couple of weeks ahead, but I just can't remember the suggested time frame. Am I too late? Previously I was so well organized, I had my tests done well in advance, 6 weeks away. Fall snuck up on me this year! November seems so far away! Thanks in advance for your feedback!

We were told that certain of the blood tests for some of the vitamins/nutrients/malabsorbtion take longer than "normal" for results, hence should have blood tests for annual check up a couple of weeks? before the appointment....I just can't remember the recommended timeline.
Having the results in hand before your followup is nice but not critical.
Go any time you can get an appointments. Vitamin levels won't change much between now and November 2.
Stop supplements for three days before having labs drawn so you won't skew results.
