I have tried shredded roasted chicken and my stomach did not take it so well. I have been vomiting everything up since trying the chicken. I first tried it around 4pm. Even water comes up.

Did you try white meat or dark? I still have trouble getting white meat down, no matter how moist they try to make it - but dark meat is much, much easier!

It was white meat from a roasted chicken. The whole thing was moist.

Something like hot tea might help to calm the spasming. Very small sips. Don't even try food right now, work on getting in liquid and keeping it down.

If you're still vomiting everything tomorrow morning, call your surgeon, go to ER, or urgent care.

At this point Gwen is right, don't even try to eat anything... liquids only. tiny sips try different liquids....lukewarm, or hot may be better. You may have some food stuck that is not dilodging, Early out I did have that happen and it took hours. That being said, yes if it doesn't stop call the surgeon....

Chicken can be a difficult beast to get down.

Think moist meat but for now you get to give your body a break.

Advancing foods is always an adventure.

If I read your info correctly, trying the chicken was just one month from surgery. My surgeon recommended that I not try animal protein until after 2 months. I also had problems with even dark meat grilled chicken. I've found now that if I chew it to almost nothing, it tastes good and stays down!

according to my surgeons guide book I should be trying to start normal foods this Friday. I don not think that will be happening Friday.
