Good morning! I'm back to work today and really wishing I was home still but just 2.5 days this week and then I'm off again for 4 days. And traffic should be light this week too which is always a bonus.

QOTD: Do you have New Year's Eve plans? Do you like to stay up and welcome in the new year? We are going to my sister's. We did that last year and had a great time but our oldest was working so we hurried home to be with him for the countdown and just made it. It was really special. I love New Year's Eve and have to do the countdown every year.

Accountability- it was better yesterday but still not where it should have been. Today will be better.

Menu:

B: Protein Shake

L: Leftover turkey

D: Omelette

Vitamins will be taken and water consumed. :)

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning friends! I am up early, but only because I did...NOTHING yesterday! Like, literally, had fewer than 2000 steps and napped twice. I feel like I might be coming down with a cold, but it's no excuse for how lazy I was yesterday. I just laid on the couch and watched 89 episodes of Gilmore Girls straight, and tried to ignore the messes out of the corner of my eye.

Not today, though--back on my game! I got my parents an Alexa for Christmas so I am going to go over there and get them set up. Mom and I are also going to go shopping (it's what we do best!) and we might do some baking, too. I can't ignore the messes here, either, so time to get organizing! Tonight we are going to visit with our favorite neighbors and I am giving them the rest of my millions of Christmas cookies! Yesssss!

Accountability: Better. Not perfect, but much better :) I know I need to throw the desserts into the disposal, but it is so hard.

QOTD: Not this year. I wanted to do an overnight trip up to Portsmouth NH which is a super cute touristy town, but it is going to be below zero, so I am not interested in going outside at all. I think we are going to stay in on New Year's Eve, and invite some friends over on New Year's Day, instead.

Menu: Not 100% sure about lunch, but I think mom and I will be out shopping and there is a Bertucci's, so I peeked at the menu and tried to pick the best option.

your description of your mom sounds like me and my mom. When it was 'senior skip' day at school I told my mom and we went shopping... lol some of my friends had to go to school but I was at the mall getting bargains!

Good morning Teena and menu folks! I decided to treat myself to the rest of the week off. I had already taken Tuesday and Friday off because my wife is off, but now I have two days by myself to do what I want. I'd like to do some cleaning and a bit more baking, and of course I will get in some swimming. I may take a nap though since it is cold and snuggling back up under my quilts is a wonderful thing.

QOTD: I have looked at ads for several things, but I am such an early to bed person that I doubt I will go out. Also I am always concerned about accidents on New Years, so I tend to nest.

Menu:

Breakfast: leftover 1/2 egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms and feta, turkey bacon

Snack: protein shake

Lunch: chicken breast, broccoli slaw

Snack: 2 oz turkey breast, apple

Dinner: pork chops, salad

Exercise: 1 hr swimming

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

QOTD: No plans for New Year's Eve. I will probably try to stay up to watch the New Year come in, but in my "old age" I've gotten to be an early-to-bed person so I might get sleepy and hit the hay before midnight. We'll see. Depends on whether or not my daughter is home with me to celebrate or if she goes out.

Accountability: Yesterday: Better, but still not great. Protein - 56, Calories - 1,215, Carbs - 161.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: homemade chili

D: homemade chili

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, sugar free pumpkin pie & cool whip

E: Walking at the mall (It's below zero here!)

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!

QOTD: planning on going to neighbors for dinner and desserts. I'm in charge of desserts not sure what to make - probably something that doesn't tempt me- lol

all the bad foods have left the house! some through my mouth! I was a human garbage disposal for 2.5 days. that ended last night and honestly, i'm RELIEVED to have it gone and not in my way. I'm going to give myself several days before I hop on the scale though.

Today's food

egg white/sausage bite

tuna/quest chips

coffee

water

gelatin/PP

not sure on dinner- we have roast and ham leftover and I'm done with ham and roast to be honest. I might fix for DH then have more tuna.

We are expecting ice tomm night. I MAY run out after lunch and get some stuff but I'm almost thinking that I will delay and use whatever I have in the house? not sure. I do have TONS of tuna packets from amazon

It sounds like most of us are struggling with the Christmas goodies a bit still. I was great at home and through dinner, but we were at a friends last night and desserts were left out while we mingled in the kitchen. I did okay at first with 2 really small bites of pie, but then I kept grabbing cookies and pumpkin bread. Arghh...

QOTD: Sometimes we get together with friends (we are going out to a nice restaurant this year), but we rarely make it to midnight. I think the last time was the year we bought this house (2009) and we went with several friends to a New Years function here on the Cape.

1 year, 9 months post-op

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ? (Going to dinner at a Cambodian restaurant so I have no idea - maybe fish?)

S: Cheese
