I had to look twice at your pics because I couldn't find the mum; you look like 3 kids!

I didn't get the leper joke at first, but when I did I almost choked on my coffee. Too funny!

I am super jealous of all of the beautiful dogs, and kudos for fostering. I wish I was in a place where I could have a dog.

you look so tiny!

although we must look similar - I'm an inch taller than you, and I'm weighing 146-148 these days. You said the other day you were in the low 140s - so factoring in the extra inch, we're around the same. I feel like I could stand to lose another 10 lbs - but maybe I don't. You look great at your current weight. This body image thing is so weird...I wonder if I'll ever get over this??

See, that's how I feel... Body image and our brains just don't jive. I look at this picture and I see a thin woman, but then I see someones stats that are much smaller than mine - my height and 10-15 pounds lighter - and I know I could still lose more weight! I see myself in the mirror and I know I have weight to lose... And even my DEXA scan was at 29% body fat, so I know I have more to lose.... I hate the inner arguments I seem to continually have!

I had a DEXA scan done a year ago at 146.6 lbs (same range as now), and my body fat was 22%, so she told me I couldn't afford to lose much more (my PCP and my bariatric surgeon told me the same thing). I think I have a large frame and a lot of muscle, though. I got down to 138 (for like two days) a few months ago, but that was almost certainly too low for me. I really liked being in the 130s while it lasted, though!! I"d be happy in the low 140s, and my PCP said she was OK with that. It's been a bear trying to lose any weight, though.

As always I love the pictures of your beautiful babies! One of mine is of my elderly baby at home (Chiquita - 16) and the other of my son at the Louvre (he is in the 3rd to last day of a 3 week trip to France).

QOTD: I am TERRIBLE at remembering jokes (and if I do I invariably forget the punch line). So I looked up a lawyer joke (DH used to be an attorney so we used to hear many of them):

A Dublin lawyer died in poverty and many barristers of the city subscribed to a fund for his funeral. The Lord Chief Justice of Orbury was asked to donate a shilling. "Only a shilling?" said the Justice, "Only a shilling to bury an attorney? Here's a guinea; go and bury 20 more of them."

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: leftover grilled chicken and veggies

S: Shrimp

Love the pic of your son! Last spring when we re there, Maryann and I were totally flummoxed when we were eating lunch and looking out over the Louvre and saw all these people making pinchy gestures when people took their pictures. It took awhile to figure out that literally every person was in that pose. Lol.

Good morning! I am a meat popsicle today, but the walk was worth it.

Menu: B: 1/2 cup greek ff yogurt mixed with 1/2 cup Vector cereal. MS/AS: protein shake. L: 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup chopped cucumber mixed in with tuna. S: Unknown

QOTD:

A lion was walking through the woods when he came across a wild bull. He pounced on the bull, killed it and ate it. He felt SO GOOD afterward that he began to purr. Soon that purr became a roar and a hunter heard it. The hunter found the lion and shot him dead.

The moral? When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!
