it's not the healthiest fat you could eat (nuts, avocado, etc, are better), but if you're not eating gobs of it, it should be fine. An ounce or two of cheese is not a big deal.

I had a really scary meeting yesterday morning ... i was still on Tamiflu and just lost it food wise. I ate my VERY favorite whole fat cheese ( French Brie with truffles and mushrooms ) on 3/4 of a pretzel roll all the way into the city on the subway... oy.

of course i was half an hour late too...

DISASTER.. personal and business wise ( i made every wrong decision possible grrr)

On a slightly positive note : i recently snorkeled with real fish in a real reef in the Southern Caribbean and felt SO RIDICULOUSLY GRATEFUL because I haven't allowed myself these public swimsuit clad adventures FOREVER.

I hope its not one step forward three steps back but otherwise...

I actually need to make sure I get enough "healthy fat" because if I don't my skin gets severely dry.

Many of us (including me) keep track of everything (I use MFP). But I do have cheese as a snack periodically (and have since I was able to post-op.

Good Morning! Daisy, I really hope your back feels better, I know what you mean, some days I miss Advil too.

Accountability: I had a few of these lemon bite things (Think Thin) in the afternoon that I had not planned on.

QOTD: I think I would swim with stingrays, I don't think I could have done it the day after Steve Irwin died though-you are brave.

Time since surgery: 3 years 5 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Salami, Carbmaster yogurt, and mixed nuts

D: Smoked chicken and cheese sausage, mashed cauliflower and a square of dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF jam and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1216 Protein:121 Carbs:67 Fat:57

Good morning! I had my pre-op general physical yesterday and I've dropped 11 lbs since starting liquids. Still convinced that's water weight as I've always fluctuated in a fairly wide margin with water. I also drank about 2 gallons of hot herbal tea last night, I think. I wasn't hungry, but I was bored and kept wandering into the kitchen. I just forced myself to make tea every time I went in there...

qotd: I went swimming with dolphins on family vacation when I was 13 but I don't remember the experience clearly.
