Grim taught me about DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). That soreness you feel after a workout is actually little microscopic tears in your muscle fibers. Those tears swell, and that causes fluid retention. So not surprised that a new work out gave you a temporary weight gain!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Oh Daisy, I am SO sorry you had another migraine. Besides Amerge (Naratriptan) that I take when I get a migraine - stops it in it's tracks. (But I think you said you couldn't take that for some reason?). I also take Topamax (Topiramate) daily to prevent migraines and that helps a lot, too. I don't know if either of those would be an option for you, but I'd sure like to see you be free of those nasty migraines! Going through menopause also helped reduce the frequency of migraines for me.

QOTD: Definitely I talk to the dogs all the time!

Good morning Daisy and menu crew. Great start to AMAW, it could not have come at a better time. I am sorry to hear about your migraines Daisy - hope you get some relief soon. I had a headache yesterday, I wondered if mine was due to a lack of carbs? I was averaging 90-100 carbs a day. Not sure if carb withdrawal or not. Feel great this morning. I do not think I am going to eat the trainers recommended diet when I am done amaw, I did not find the complex carbs offered any more energy than I normally feel. I did lose weight but think it was due to the high intensity workouts I am doing. Snow is on the way and we are heading to Syracuse tomorrow after work and will make our way to Buffalo on Friday. Ryley to re-visit a college and then to a Sabres game on Saturday. Speaking of Ryley , his team lost last week 3-1 and their season is over, its all good.

QOTD - I am just like Arun Daisy!!!!! LOL....

B - 4 oz ny strip

S - buddig meat

L - Italian sausage and a1 sauce

S - 4 oz ny strip

D - baked cod

E - gym night tonight.

Good morning! We got a couple inches of snow yesterday but it's already melting, and the roads look clear. Due to the weather I mostly just stayed home the last couple of days but now I'm stir crazy and might find a reason to go somewhere today. Thrifting maybe? I have plenty of clothes for the next size or two down though and I don't want to go too crazy, not knowing what season it will be when I hit new sizes lol. But I love browsing thrift stores anyway.

qotd: I talk to my cats all the time, and I know they understand certain phrases because I have one who goes bananas when I say "breakfast." And another who gets excited when I say "bedtime."
