Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

I'm excited, I officially start a new role with my company today -- it's technically a lateral move but I now report directly to an SVP that I've wanted to work for directly for some time so I'm excited. On the flip side, the number of people that have asked me if I took the job on purpose was a bit alarming; our President told me I'd taken a big job but he knows I'm the right person for it -- good thing I believe in the big risk/big reward paradigm, lol. Also, I'm pretty happy that I managed to continue to lose weight while in Mexico -- stayed on track thanks to help from JB for portion control and got all kinds of exercise in every day. This weekend, I took my first pilates reformer class; I've always wanted to do one but felt so large and awkward, so it was a big mental victory for me!

QOTD: I am not an inventor but if you invent something, I'm the person you want on the team to make it go from theory to reality.

G'morning all!

Well, survived mother's day without too much damage. We celebrated it with my MIL, BIL and his wife. I did good throughout the meal (mahi mahi and steamed veggies), but SIL's lemon squares are to die for. She had made them for me and MIL. I had two squares :-(

QOTD: I live with an inventor. DH has 5-6 patents but they are all computer (software/hardware) related...boring and only few ppl can even understand what it is! Besides, his company has bought them from him so they are not his anymore. So about 3 years ago I came up with an idea! After working on it for 2-3 months it occured to us to check and see if there is a patent for it. Turns out it exists but there is no prototype, yet. So we are still working on it and trying to figure out if we can buy the patent. Of course I can't tell anybody what it is and it KILLS ME!

LOL. It was my idea but it's my geek husband that has actually come up with the solution/gadget. But I like to tease him that I am the brain and he is the brawn.

Posting late after our first day of work at Camp Indicoso near Springville,Indiana. The camp is a beautiful place--picture to follow of my view as I type this. Lots of exercise as we stay about 1.25 miles from where the internet is available. Spent the day in a respirator and bleachproof suit cleaning mildew off ceilings in a showerhouse. Had a great workout and after my walk with Lily now I'll have 7 miles total. Its hot and humid so drinking has been very important. I've got nothing on QOTD. Post op 5 years 8.5 months and weight was 118 this am. Heres my food B 1 scrambled egg and 3 strips bacon L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 4 baby carrots D 4 oz black and blue burger patty hubby is cooking right now. Hope you all made smart choices today!
