Surgery Yesterday

Well, its official I am no longer a stand by reading about what it's like to have surgery as yesterday I crossed over to the other side of this new life!

I'm thankful for this site, the forums and good advice/encouragement.

I'm still in the hospital, but feeling pretty good. My biggest pain is in my shoulders and collarbone, they say this is from the gasses they pump you with during the surgery.

I don't have an appetite and can just sip water, which fills me up, 1 oz at a time. I'll try some broth a little later.

Anyway, just wanted to post something. I'm pretty bored! ?

Thanks!

I'm walking often, especially since there is not much else to do around here! Haha.

Congrats on surgery! The gas pains can be difficult until everything starts moving again. Walk as much as you can even if it is slow and keep sipping your fluids. I did alot of warm herbal tea and that also helped with the gas.

Congratulations! For me the gas pain in my neck and shoulders was the worst pain. It took me several days for it to go away, but it does.

Just walk and sip and take care of yourself.

Congrats on your big day! Walk walk walk, sip sip sip, it's your mantra for a little while (and it will help with the pain from the gas!)
