Wanted to share some positive progress! Today is six months since surgery and things are moving along quite well. Woke up yesterday to be exactly one hundred pounds lost from my highest weight, where I was at last October. 185!! Very exciting.

Feeling better every day and I finally feel like my energy is increasing. Lots of others talk about massive increases in energy and I haven't found that until the last two weeks. I think my blood pressure issues have been zonking me a bit. But I am now starting to wake earlier and not feel groggy, have energy later in the day and walking my dog more often.

Some not so fun things that I've been addressing are low blood pressure causing fainting, ongoing constipation issues and the last few days some stomach pains that make me reluctant to eat.

I am trying to make good choices every day around food. Some days are more of a struggle than others, my cravings for sweets are a big fight daily. I know I will continue to struggle with that life long! For the most part I eat just protein but have added some fruits and veggies. I have to work on adding snacks in between meals as I just eat three meals and I think I would have more consistent energy throughout the day if I ate on a better schedule. Infrequent carbs do happen so am trying to be as militant as possible about this so I lose the most that I can in the next few months. At my 6 month check up the dietician said not to be surprised if I only lose 20 lbs over the next six months and that just a bit gutted me. I'm not ready for only another 20 lbs. I'm really going to push against that! Planning to start kickboxing soon as a way to amp up some weight loss when it's suppose to start slowing down.

Planning a big trip to Thailand for February when I will be around a year, have been there before but so excited to experience it as not a morbidly obese person for the first time. Trekking and kayaking and scuba diving here I come!!

Here are my before and afters so far (feeling brave enough to post these today!)

Also wanted to send a thank you to everyone who has supported me here and answered the questions, provided guidance etc!

Sounds like you're doing great, a little ahead of me, I'm hoping to post an update tonight, got my DH to take pictures yesterday, but too busy to write anything. How do you put the pictures together in a collage like that?

Thank you! There's an app called pic collage, just download from the App Store, it's free but very easy and user friendly.
