10 yrs post op bleeding at the anastomosis

Has anyone experienced a problem so far out from the original surgery? The bleeding came out of no where. They ended up needed to do an open surgery (which sucks) and find the bleeding and re-do the anastomosis. So I basically had 1/2 my RNY done over again (without changing the pouch). After my original surgery I had some major aversions to food. I couldn't eat anything, it just turned my stomach thinking about eating or drinking. That eventually changed, but now with this new surgery I'm feeling the exact same way.

No one really understands, so I was hoping to reach out to people who have experienced the surgery and understand what I'm talking about.

I haven't heard of that but I am sorry that you went through all of that. It sounds so unexpected and scary and that is one of my top post op anxieties. Was it an ulceration of some sort? How did you know the bleeding was going on?
