AMAW/CAMAW - Day 4

Hello my fellow meat lovers!

Day 4 - we are almost half way, hang in there and keep steady.

What do you use for snack if you are in the car? Do you keep snacks in the car? If yes, what?

I had a long day yesterday and without realizing before I left home I grabbed a premier protein shake and dropped it in my bag. It was such a natural move for me, I always think if I'm stuck I can have the shake. When the time came I went to open it and realized uh-oh can't have it while on AMAW! I was devastated and hungry. The first big store I came upon was target. Went in and got mini turkey sticks, not ideal for sodium and fat but better than anything else I could find. I couldn't even have hb egg or cheese so my choices were limited. Admitted, I spaced out and brought a shake instead of maybe some jerky but jeez when you are on AMAW it's hard to find things to eat if you don't plan it. Anyway, crisis averted and I got home in time for an afternoon meal.

I made it early today!

I usually have those turkey meat sticks or string cheese for snacks here in the fridge at work...or sometimes a greek yogurt...I don't usually eat in the car though. if it's a long trip or something, I'll pack jerky or meat sticks and cheese normally.

Day 3 was OK. I had that weird pain yesterday afternoon but it passed after an hour or 2 and I was fine. I did eat one tiny bite of Story's apple last night before remembering it was a no-no. oops.

yesterday's stats:
Cals: 829, Carbs: 18, protein was a bit low strangely @ 61g.
I'll be adding more meat today, less dairy.

Hi All!

down another pound today - 150.2. I was hoping to be under 150 by now, but that's two pounds in what....three days? That's pretty good for being in maintenance phase. I may have to keep going for a few extra days (and given that I'm doing more of a "back to basics" thing this week, rather than true CAMAW, yes - I *should* be doing this for a few extra days - in fact, I should be doing this forever!)

accountability: 1534 kcal, 103 carbs (whoops - the plan was to keep it under 80), 128 protein

Yay for the lbs lost!! Two lbs in THREE days is phenomenal

I am too chicken to get on the scale so I'll see at the end of challenge if I have lost any.

Good morning,

Loved the comics especially the last one.

Did good yesterday but I had some cottage cheese at work yesterday.

Calories 1085 protein 135 carbs 17

I usually take protein bars with me when traveling and string cheese. I'm 4 years out so if I'm hungry, I'll stop somewhere and eat out and try to pick the right thing to eat. I usually keep protein bar in my purse. But I usually don't snack now.

I wish I could do protein bars, they are like a trigger food for me. I would eat 4-5 of them like a candy bar, no matter how disgusting they can be. I also can't find bars that are low in carbs. Which ones do you use?

I liked the quest chocolate chip cookie dough and s'more one. They are more filling than some I tried. The ones at my bariatric center are like a candy bar. I only used them for emergencies.

Hello! Yesterday's totals were Protein: 63g, Fat: 21g, Carbs: 6g and calories were only 470. Admittedly I WAS hungry but my doctors appointment went long and I ended up skipping my afternoon snack, and then just opted to eat dinner rather than squeeze it in.

We went on a long road trip over thanksgiving. I packed meat sticks and a few Quest bars, since we opted not to stop to eat a real meal, and I did grab some string cheese and hard boiled eggs at one of the gas stations we stopped at. On the way home I also had pecans, since we stopped at a pecan farm while we were in Tulsa.

Good afternoon (it is 12:30 now). I had some minor cravings at the end of the day yesterday but quelled them by eating more cottage cheese. Total calories for the day were 718. I'm down exactly 2 pounds since Monday morning.

For snacks in the car I either have cheese or meat sticks usually (either of which obviously works for CAMAW).
