Day 4 - Post-Holiday Reset - AMAW/CAMAW - Back to Basics

Day 4 is here and a new day for working toward our goals!

I'm off work today but up early-ish anyway and going to workout with my trainer. My back is still sore but I'm going to try a light workout to ease back into things.

Considering all of the temptation yesterday, I did really well. I had 5 oz of rib eye roast (which came out very lovely!), 10 small Brussels sprouts, 1 tiny fingerling potato, a large helping of spinach salad with oranges & almonds and a cup & a half of mixed berries. I skipped the chocolate cake (which was a real hit!) and the freshly baked bread. Not bad! I did end up having 2 oz of mixed cheese later in the evening but that was okay with me.

After I got the food put away and most of the dishes done, I ended up crashing, no walk, but that was okay.

The scale is back down again by .2 pounds. Not much but in the right direction!

Here's cheering us on for another healthy day!

I did mostly okay yesterday except I had some bread. The scale is up a pound, but no surprise as I am at the point I expected to stall at for a while. Today will be a challenge as we are going out with a group of friends to an Italian restaurant, then to one of the homes for champagne and dessert. It is the latter that could wipe out my whole day...

Good morning everyone. I am headed into work this morning. Not really looking forward to it, my time off has been really nice. We are just going to be home tonight. My son is smoking ribs and we will probably have a fire in the backyard.

Janet, your dinner sounds wonderful.

Yesterday's food went well. I did share the piece of halibut with my daughter and had 2 scallops. My son doe such an amazing job cooking them. I also added 2 slices of sharp cheddar yesterday afternoon that I did not plan for.

Food plan for today

2 c. black coffee

2 eggs with 1/2 c. cottage cheese

3 ounces black Forrest ham with mustard and dill pickle

Tuna with SG dressing

Not sure on dinner, my son is smoking ribs, I will either have a piece of fish or chicken.

I have not weighed myself. I am going to wait a few days. I do feel good though and less bloated. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. I'm on day 6 of being back on track. No weight change this morning and it's hard not to be a little discouraged. Down 2lbs since I started and feeling overall much better. Will continue eating well today and may end up fasting for longer than usual.

Hello All!

I did OK for the most part yesterday except for popcorn at a movie (DH always gets popcorn and I can rarely keep my hands out of it!). So I ended up overshooting my calorie goal by about 100 kcal, but my weight is down a pound this morning regardless. That excess water weight from all the restaurant eating over Christmas is starting to work its way out of my system - thank God! No plans for today so eating on plan should be easy. Tomorrow we have the annual New Year's Day brunch at our friend's place, so that will be a challenge, but I'm really going to work at it. After that, smooth sailing for quite awhile, so hopefully it shouldn't be too tough to get back under 150 lbs (my safe zone).

Good Morning! I don't typically check in on the weekend but I have stayed away from Emily's snacks/the treats I put in the freezer and trail mix. I did end up having additional snacks before bed though.

I am doing ok on the under 25 carbs and meeting the protein/fluid goals; making a lot of swaps in the day though but at least they are smart ones!

so I have to admit, I did not make it through the weekend sticking to my plan.
I know it was just because there were too many temptations and I am 100% ready to fully commit come tomorrow.
I went to my nieces 1st birthday party on Saturday and not only did I have a few crackers with cheese dip, but also I had a small piece of cake. I didn't get sick from it but I did feel a bit guilty after.
I had a small piece of pie on christmas which DID make me feel sick, but I am guessing the cake was lower in sugar and was very small...still not part of my plan!

Luckily, I still managed to somehow lose another 1lb but I know that won't last much longer, as I am getting further out from surgery.

Plan today is to try to avoid too many snacks (I am not going to lie to myself and say I won't have any) but I am going to still log everything and I think that will discourage me from eating too many things! I'll try to stick to Shrimp coctail tonight, maybe some cheese/meat but NO crackers this time! and no sugar!

Hi you guys, and Happy New Year's Eve!

I've been sticking to my CAMAW plan but haven't lost yet - still holding steady at 132 pounds. It would be great to start the New Year with a lower number on the scale - let's see what tomorrow will bring! Have a wonderful evening, my friends!
