Just found an interesting article comparing the advantages of whey protein vs casein protein:
Seems pretty scientifically based and useful.

RNY w/ Joseph Afram: 2/28/2017; Plastics w/ Douglas Forman: Extended mastopexy, Extended abdominoplasty-5/18/2018
Very informational and made sense. I had always hear whey protein was best but apparently, they both have their advantages and interestingly, for those of us with RNY & malabsorption, the calcium in casein is handy but the muscle building properties of whey are equally important. Seems we need a combo.

they recommend whey protein isolate when you're early out, but at this point, I also use powders that are a combo since I get most of my protein from food at this point....
