The new changes on this web site

It's sad that the forum would change for the worse, now if you try to search for a topic, you're directed to paid sites. Seriously worse, not better

What are you looking for? I often use the search function and don't get redirected. Perhaps we can help?

Not sure you noticed but there are actually two search bars here within the forums. There is one directly above the forum name where you can search all of these posts. (It actually says in the search box "Search this forum".

The second is up next to the Obesity Help logo. It returns results from many sources. (In that search box you'll see "Search site, providers and products").

You may have accidently put your search criteria in the box that returns outside information, instead of the box that returns info from this forum only?

Even when I use the one next to the OH logo, I don't get redirected (I just used it earlier today).

I can't even remember the last time I tried the search function(s) here on OH so I'm glad you chimed in. Did you get the same results as the OP?

I don't believe the site has undergone any major changes since, I think, last summer? Certainly not since you joined OH back in December.

Ditto, to the other responses. No changes, since your last post, 3 months ago. I just did several searches, and found what I searched for....

Can we help find something? Or are you just needing to gripe? We all have days, like that :)

I have noticed that when I mistakenly put my search in the top search box, it effectively acts as a google search so you see everything On the inter webs but when I put it in the site search box, it still only searches the site. The first time I did it wrong, I was like "what is happening here" but then I realized it was user error on my part!

Be sure you are using the correct search bar to the right of the OH logo. Here are a couple of screen prints. If you need help finding something let me or any of your fellow members know and we will help
