Just Curious- Did you move from shopping in the plus size department to the regular sizes?

I've been a clothes hound for years but have been wearing a 3x for as long as I can remember. Its a dream to think of wearing much smaller sizes and LuLu Lemon! Curious about everyones experiences

It did take me quite a while to move out of the plus size section--I was also a 3x and now after ~100lbs lost, I still waver between straight size XL and 1x (plus) depending on brand.

yes - I'm a 10/12 and M/L now (depending on manufacturer). It was a pretty weird feeling for a long time!

Yep, I went from tight 26/28 in plus sizes to an 8 in jeans, and either a small or medium in shirts.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

Yes, I am 5'4" and I went from a starting weight of 351 lbs day of surgery down to 160, now in the 190s, damn regain. Regardless, I went from a 22/24 or 26/28 down to an 8 pants/medium tops now in a 10 or 12 bottom/medium top. No more plus size here. It requires a lot of work and dedication but you can do it if you use your tool the way you are supposed to - eat high protein, track and weigh your food, hydrate!

And, I can wear Lululemon but their prices are appalling to me so now I get size M or L workout clothes on zulilly or at Marshalls and they are usually like $15. Gone are the days of only being able to shop at Lane Bryant and everything being so expensive!

Yep and this is by far one of the best parts of the whole WLS process for me. So surgery day I was a tight 26. I've been out of plus sizes for a few years, just recently I lost more weight while working on regain and today my jeans are an eight and my shirts are med to large (I like them big).

Just a thought for while you are losing: thrift stores and clearance sales are our friends. Sizes change so much and pretty frequently once you really get going. Spending a lot of money on anything (even shoes) is pretty much a waste for a lot of us.

Enjoy! Clothes shopping can really be fun for a lot of us.

I just realized last month that I can no longer wear anything from torrid unless it's oversized lol...I shopped for 80% of my clothes there before surgery, and was in a size 3 or 4 there, or size 26/28 pants...
I still try to wear one of my skirts I got there that is a size 00 but I think that is equivalent to a 12/14 and it is really big on me and I have to fold over the waistband.

I am a HUGE fashion freak (I just started a fashion/beauty and lifestyle blog) and I love that I can shop pretty much anywhere now, at around size 10, or M/L usually. if you're interested you can find me on instagram @artchikk

no more plus size for this girl! iIts seriously the most exciting thing for me, since I've been obsessed with fashion since I was about 7 years old.

I went from 3x 26-28 to a medium size 8-10 pants. I do all my clothes shopping in the rich neighborhoods church sales around Pittsburgh. I get all the top brands I got an awesome Ann Klein dress for a buck and a full length leather coat for $5. Lots of rummage sales tomorrow so I should be able to get a new outfit for every day next month under $30. Wish me luck!!!!!

When I realized I could shop anywhere I wanted, any store, anytime I cried and cried and cried. I was so happy and filled with joy. It had been years and years since I've had the choice to shop anywhere except for places like Lane Bryant's. I am ecstatic to not have to shop there ever again.
