Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother's Day was wonderful but it is well time to get back on the wagon. I am participating in no weigh May (for a friend who is scale addicted) but I feel bloated and yucky from the choices I have made in the last week. I am sure the scale is not where I want it to be.

Accountability: Awful. My goal for today is to stay on my plan.

TSS: 1 year and 4 months

B: greek yogurt

MS: Protein Shake

L: Ham and Cheese roll-ups, a pickle, and strawberries

AS: HB egg

D: Chicken fajitas - this may change I will edit later

Lots of water/crystal light and all vitamins

Morning Karen & menu peeps! We're back for another week!

Karen, glad you got out for a good walk. You look so happy but where's the pic of the Lovely Miss Lily??

I had both a productive and a disappointing weekend. I spent almost 6 hours at the library studying on Saturday and got my next to last chapter completed...yippee! Planned to spend another 4 hours at the library on Sunday afternoon but it didn't work out for a couple of reasons...argh!! First, our extra freezer stopped working and needed to be defrosted. And worst of all, I used half a dose of the Mag Citrate on Saturday evening with minimal results so I took the other half dose Sunday and got deathly ill! Within minutes of taking the Mag, I had horrible stomach distress. Pain so bad that my heart started racing, I was sweating profusely, doubled up in pain and crying and couldn't even call DW for help. About 10 minutes in, DW walked by my office where I was sitting and helped me to the recliner, where I put my feet up, took a Gas-X and sipped some water until it passed. Really horrible and scary! I carefully checked the bottle and I have no idea why I reacted to it like that (no SAs, etc.) but my body doesn't deal with it well. I ended up spending most of the rest of the afternoon in the recliner sipping fluids and snuggling with Audie Cat AND still only minimal "results". Daisy suggested daily Miralax and Mag Oxide so I'm going to give that a try.

Accountability: A mixture of good choices and not so good. It's a new day and I'm starting again.

Menu:

B: coffee w/ Miralax! ham & 1/2 cup plain oatmeal with blueberries

S: protein shake

L: CarbMaster yogurt, EverRoast chicken, baby carrots

S: Protein shake, Chomps

D: HT stuffed tilapia

E: an hour in the gym for a class with my trainer

Janet,

I have 1 cap of Miralax in my coffee every morning. I also drink a magnesium drink called Calm. I like the lemon. I drink it warm in the evenings. It helps me sleep and relax. I am sorry you were in such pain. That sounds miserable.

I'm thinking that Miralax may need to become my new friend... I was looking it up on Amazon for a better deal and noticed that their generic version says that dairy can cause constipation in people who are lactose intolerant. Strange because dairy has always done just the opposite for me. I have been having more dairy though in the form of Lactaid cottage cheese & Carb Master yogurt. Wondering if that's what the change is...hmmm

I get mine at sams club for 3 big bottles for 21.00 . Their brand. And often have sales on it for two or three dollars off. I usually buy two and they last until the next sale.

That sounds so scary, especially when you can't determine the cause. Hope you don't have any further issues.

I'm taking Daisy's advice and switching to taking Miralax daily and if needed, Mag Oxide tablets. I just don't understand reading the label what caused my reaction. Really frightening though!

I'm also a daily Miralax user, and also take a probiotic.
