Good morning menu friends! Lily and I were short a walk yesterday due to the weather. Otherwise accountability was spot on. Weight today is 123.2. We will do at least 2 walks today but that will be all as we are leaving Camp Indicoso today at noon to head 5 hours away to Elkart Indiana to work for 3 weeks in a boys home in Goshen. Lots of packing up and moving to be accomplished before then too. I'm proud of myself that this year I posted every day I was here. Internet is sketchy here and this is where I went off the rails last year. This year I posted, maintained my weight and even dropped a tiny bit. Accountability is really key for my continued success. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L P3 pack D 4 oz Turkey burger with cheese. I'll try my best to hit 100 ounces of fluids too. Have a great day full of smart and healthy choices everyone@ Time for coffee now!

Mornin' All!

I'm going to set up shop at a coffee place later on this morning so I actually do some of these little things that have been on my to-do list forever. None of them particularly critical, but I've been feeling pretty unproductive lately, and also, I just need to get some of these things crossed off my list already! Then lunch with a friend. Later...?? If it's not raining, I definitely need to do some walking!! At least my gym membership starts up again this weekend (I had it suspended for two months since I had surgery - no sense paying for it if I can't use it). That should help!

Accountability has been great the last couple of days. Lunches out today and tomorrow. Yikes. I suggested one of those authentic taquerias to the friend I'm meeting with today, so that's where we're going. They have those meat-only tacos on those little 4.5" corn tortillas, so I can usually work around those the rest of the day and come out OK calorie-wise at the end of the day, even if I eat the tortilla. So...that's what we're doing.

3 years 11 months out:

B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with mango pieces (may have protein pancakes instead - I can't decide. It'd be more calories, but not too many...), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: either two tacos or one taco with a side of beans

AS: light yogurt or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip

D: leftover sushi

have a great day, all!

Good morning all! Back online and in the saddle...sorta!

Karen, I just want to tell you how REALLY proud I am of you this year. You learned from last year and made the changes that were needed. Way to go!! Also wanted to tell you that I lived in Goshen for about 4 months MANY years ago. Really one of the worst times of my life ever. Hope your time there is great though.

In most excellent personal news, after MUCH study, I passed my exam and I'm now officially a certified personal trainer. Such a HUGE personal victory after 30 years of being SMO and totally sedentary. It is certainly a real and positive change in my life thanks to WLS & making changes.

I celebrated my pass yesterday with a cookie (not the best choice, but I refuse to shame myself on one cookie), a massage and 4 10# weight plates. Certainly a relatively well rounded reward for lots of hard work!

Menu: back to plan, although I did pretty well over the last 2 weeks since I spent alot of time packing my food and then being secluded for the whole day...limited choices until I got home in the evening...

B: coffee with Miralax and a splash of CarbMaster milk, then 2 oz of TJ ham, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal w/ blueberries & slivered almons

S: Syntrax Nectar Ice Tea protein shake

L: leftover chicken curry & roasted brussels sprouts

S: turkey breast, small apple

D: not sure. It's really hot & humid today so maybe a salad with TJ's grilled chicken

E: I'd like to go for a walk but I'm thinking about going to the pool instead.

I picked my fave...white chocolate, macadamia nut...and savored every bite! Completely enjoying it. But I only bought one, not a whole box, so there will be no more. It is part of planning and making choices in a lifelong journey.
