Morning all! A quick drop in. Yesterday's rain here in the DC area was a record breaker and there was alot of flooding. Our house was fine but it was a scary time for many people. I'm just happy that my plants got well watered.

Today will be a little cooler (mid-80s) and less humid...yippee! I'm not sure if I can get out at lunch since I have a lunchtime meeting...ugh! Workout tonight with the trainer though.

QOTD: I like bright colors, especially red, green, yellow, and orange. Depends on the day and my mood!

Menu:

B: coffee w/ Miralax, egg frittata, turkey sausage patty

S: CarbMaster yogurt

L: ?something quick to eat at my meeting

S: CarbMaster yogurt, turkey breast

D: I have hamburgers in the fridge so hopefully those.

Exercise: hour in the gym

I'm glad your house is fine, the flooding looked crazy.

DD who is interning in DC told me yesterday she had to work from home so she "doesn't get swept away by the rain on the streets". I heard it was really strong.

Mornin' All!

another beautiful day before the rains come back tonight or tomorrow. I need to get out and walk - although I have a somewhat busy day in store - my short story class this morning, and Mah Jongg this afternoon.

accountability has been good the last couple of days. Will be today, too!

QOTD: I also love all bright colors. Our upstairs family room, which we had re-done about six years ago, has neutral walls and hardwood floors - and a neutral sofa - but the area-size rug, smaller pieces of furniture, throw pillows, etc, are all in what I've been calling "Fiestaware colors". The plan is to continue that on our new porch (which is off this family room). I guess I'm most attracted to turquoise/teal though, if I had to make a choice. And oddly, I seem to own a lot of burgundy clothes, which I wouldn't consider "bright". It could just be that I happen to look good in burgundy...

4 years 1 month out:

B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt, chopped (1/2) mango, and SF cinnamon syrup, coffee with half & hal

MS: protein shake or bar

L: cottage cheese - or leftover 1.5 meatballs on zoodles (with a teriyaki sauce)

AS: light yogurt and/or raw veggies dipped in ranch Greek yogurt

D: whichever I don't have for lunch

ex: walking, maybe a yoga class this evening

have a great day, everyone!

I love Fiestaware colors. Back in the 70s I had yellow, green, and orange wallpaper and Fiestaware to match. I still use the Fiestaware and recently bought some of the newer Fiestaware glasses with polka dot pattern in yellow, green, and orange.

hi all

quicky for me. I ate too many snacks last night and went over my calories but didn't have an all out foodfest so that is progress. things are shaping up on the house hunting front and I MAY have good news soon!! Yet another project/moneypit though lol- NOT as bad as the last place :)

I'm staying at a camper air bnb today in clevland TN. it is in the middle of the country so have to remember to do EVERYTHING I need before driving back there tonight. There are chickens and farmland. very quiet and I slept really well last night.

I walked almost 10,000 steps yesterday, went out at lunch and knocked out 3 miles. it was HOT!!!

I plan to go again today if I can stand it. I'm almost wishing I could work through lunch and leave early but that is frowned upon here....

Foodplan for today:

coffee

water

more coffee

more water

Egg dish with veggies/cooked egg on griddle from above mentioned chickens :)

Lunch- leftover sushi salad I got for dinner last night

snack- more egg dish with veggies

dinner is unknown at this time.

We are planning lunch with coworkers tomm so need to eat the other food I have brought.

Good morning, everybody! I didn't get back to post until late last night. Trish, I am sorry you were feeling sick and Yvonne your upcoming vacation at the beach sounds great.

My daughter leaves this week for a short semester abroad, so we were talking to her last night to make sure that she had all of her travel arrangements set, was packed, had a way to get to and from the airport, etc. I am not sure that we resolved anything, but she seems calm at least.

I signed up for a Dexa scan next week. I have never done it before, but it seems like a good idea to get an understanding of my body composition now in order to track how it changes over time.

Also, I am excited today because I did a set of overhead squats last night without feeling like my body was being torn apart on a rack. It was only with the 45 pound bar and no added weight, but mobility has been a challenge with that movement and it felt much better than it had been a couple of months ago.

QOTD: I guess blue. It seems like we have a couple of purples and I do like to wear purple ties.

Breakfast: Sous vide egg bites

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Chicken

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!
