Mornin'!

I'm going to yoga class later on this morning with a friend - and then to my all-time favorite activity, my monthly film discussion group! There are about six "regulars" who come every month, with one or two others making an occasional guest appearance. These people are a HOOT! The film this month was a German film called "Barbara" which was just great. But we only discuss the film-of-the-month for 10 or 15 minutes - the rest of the time we cut up and eat lunch. I bet the restaurants are glad when we finally leave! My mother-in-law will be moving here in about 10 days, and I've already signed her up for this group. She's a real film buff, and she will LOVE these people. Plus a couple of them are former New Yorkers, as is she, so she might like that connection as well.

QOTD: maybe this film group?? I swear we veer off into the most insane conversations almost every time we get together!

accountability was OK yesterday, but I want to really work on eating at the bottom of my calorie range (instead of consistently near the top). It's so hard to cut back!! Today I have lunch out, though (the film group), so my goal is to just not go over my range.

4 years 1 month out:

B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and either diced fruit or a homemade fruit compote (no added sugar), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: maybe half a chicken wrap (this place doesn't have many safe choices, but this might be OK). I'll pick the raw veggies with dill dip for my side. Raw veggies sometimes irritate my stomach, which is a good thing - it keeps me from eating too much!

AS: if needed, light yogurt and/or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip

D: turkey taco meat with lettuce, tomato, salsa, and plain Greek yogurt

ex: yoga and either walking or stationary bike

have a great day, everyone!

Happy FriYay!

I think I have figured out the reason behind my snacking. DH. DH is home now because of his accident and he is constantly snacking and I see him snacking and I think I need to snack/graze all day too. So, I am taking responsibility for me and putting a stop to the snacking. He finally had his MRI yesterday and we have an appointment for those results on Wednesday to hear what his options are. Our trip to Tennesse is up in the air until then.

I started back on the treadmill running yesterday. I thought it to be kind of easy and wasn't winded at all. When Max gets up I will take him for a walk and then do some stretching throughout the day.

QOTD: I use to sit in the teacher's room during lunch but had to stop. The "pretty & young" teachers (and my male principal) would constantly talk about their food, macros, organic, calories, exercise, etc. and it just became too much to listen too. I often thought there was a hidden camera in there because they were/are so extreme and ridiculous. I sit in my classroom and eat my lunch now, for peace and quiet.

B: coffee and then a shake

S: soft boiled egg

L: AmyLu's chicken mozzarella and roasted red pepper burger

D: probably something out since we have errands to run later today

All vitamins and 120 ounces of fluids.

The only pictures I have taken this week are of my veggie stand and I am not going to bore you all with that! LOL Have a great weekend!

Edit: I have a picture! From last week at the winery.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Can you send me the recipe for the butternut squash egg dish? Sounds like something that DW & I both might eat.

Good morning JB and Menu crew. Happy Friday! Another busy weekend for us, Grad party this evening and a grad party tomorrow. Last night Joddie and I picked out the stone for the Fireplace and I hope to get that project completed this weekend.

Accountability was real good - I ate out twice yesterday. Lunch I had a baked salmon with salad and for dinner I had a seafood Casserole and cottage cheese as a side.

Qotd - I have a buddy that is a real character. He loves to have fun. He owns several businesses and Real estate and does not need to spend much time in the office. He is doing something fun almost daily, I cant keep up with him. He loves to host parties and dinners and just loves people, he is all about inclusion. I could see a reality show in his future...LOL

B - you need to find fresh eggs folks....LOL I love em

S - ham and cream cheese roll up

L - Salami and cheese

S - cukes and ranch

D - low carb choices at grad party

E - night off.

Pictures are from our cruise/florida vacation in April.
