It's Thursday already! I still cannot used to the fact that every 5 days, they give me a weekend off... It really feels luxurious after not getting one day off at all last year!

Accountability: Good all day (including quick exercise in the morning), but the day ended badly. I was staaaarving when I walked in the house, so I shoved a 70 calories piece of cheese in my mouth when I walked in... Then after dinner (on plan) I had a 100 calorie seltzer and then a 100 calorie piece of dark chocolate. So bam--just like that I added 270 calories, and took my total from 760 to over 1000. It's crazy how quick calories add up.

QOTD: What is your favorite vegetable? This was a question at a staff meeting the other day, and it has resulted in people sharing recipes and bringing each other their favorite veggies, lol. This is a very nice office! I had a hard time picking just one, but I think steamed broccoli is the winner for me!

Exercise: I'm planning to power-walk two miles from the train to the office instead of taking the bus this morning. Other than that I won't have time to do anything--I think I will be working late and not getting home until just before 8pm.

Goos Morning JB and Menuers,

I hope your day goes by swiftly JB, sounds like a long day. JB, we talked about PF last night and will probably be signing up this weekend. Where I live we don't have a lot of options and PF will satisfy our needs.

Accountability: I am on the struggle bus. It's my own doing and I take full responsibility for it. I had a great summer of food and wine and I have gained for the first time since surgery. I am trying to remember what the heck I need to do and reign myself in. DH is on the same bus. I had a serious conversation with him last night and I am taking steps to get back into my routine. Part of getting back to it is coming here to post and logging my food in MFP. I am also drinking more water although that is slow going. So, that is my true confession and I am hoping the 7-9 pounds (on any given day) will work itself off. I'm trying to focus on a few things at a time instead of overwhelming myself with doing everything at one time.

QOTD: I really like most vegetables especially fresh garden veggies. I have lots of favorites depending on the season. Brussel sprouts, yellow squash, zucchini, and tomatoes (although really a fruit) are what comes to mind at the moment.

Have a great Thursday!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Good Morning, all!

Last night was ciriculum night for both boys. We started with a presentation on the college application process. Even though I already have one child in college, it really hit home that my son's admission process is going to start going really fast in the next few weeks. Fortunately, he seems to have a pretty light load academically, so should have time to get his applications finished. Also, in his English class they work on their essays.

My younger son has a tough schedule this year. I guess that Sophomore and Junior years are really the tough ones for classload. Overall, the teachers for both boys seemed really great. I didn't eat anything before the three hour program, so was ravenous by the time it ended. I try and never eat after 8:00 but yesterday was an exception.

Also, I found out that I have a small cavity yesterday and have to get a filling. Boo. Only a mile yesterday because of curriculum night. I will try and get a couple today.

QOTD: I am going to say eggplant. I love it grilled in tinfoil.

Breakfast: Sausage

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Pork

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Hopefully her Senior year is as easy as my older son's appears to be.

Nice snowman on the fifty mile challenge, by the way!

She is a sophomore this year so who knows. I really don't want her to burn out.

Thank you! :)
