Morning all! Thanks for the good wishes yesterday. I laid really low yesterday and feel a lot better today! I will try to be very productive this morning, then Grim and I are going to head up to the very last minor league baseball game of the season at 1pm :) It's a bit of a drive, but it will be nice to have a final game of the season--we have been to so many this year!

Accountability: Meh. Too many bites of off plan things and despite the "formal" exercise, it was a lazy day.

QOTD: Yikes, now that I read through everyone's weather horror stories... where would you NEVER live? I think I could handle all types of weather except for tornado threats. We do get them in MA (wayyyyyyy more in the last decade, too, which is so scary), but only a few ever touch down and they are all category 1s. Still terribly devastating if they affect you directly, but not like the giant ones they get in tornado alley. I could never handle living with that kind of uncertainty hanging over me all the time.

Exercise: Dealing with a terrible blister on my heel from running, so I need to get something from the drugstore to get it comfortable enough for running, otherwise I will stick to the bike today.

I agree with earthquakes! I was an RN wound care specialist towards the end of my career; probably used some of your products!

Many years ago, a couple in Minnesota offered to trade their large home and farm for any home in the LA area. Not one person was willing to trade earthquake risk for icy cold blizzards.

I guess what you deal with 24/7/365, times as many years you have lived it, becomes common place.

Good morning, everybody!

Which game are you going to, JB? My brother in-law goes to a lot of minor league games, but mostly Nashua Fisher Cats and Lowell Spinners. Those seem like they would be far. I've never been to the PawSox.

My daughter sent us picture from the Baylor game yesterday. On the scoreboard it had the temperatures forecast for kick-off, half time and end of game. They were 102, 101, and 100. Everybody talks about how hard it is to sit in a football stadium in the November/December cold, but I think that the September game are brutal sitting on aluminum bleachers in late summer heat.

We had fun at the concert last night. Apparently, I had purchased an upgrade package because we had preferred parking passes and free lawn chair rentals. We got to the show and were in line to pick up our lawn chairs when my son said to me "Dad, why do we have seat assignments on our tickets if we are sitting on the lawn?" So, either the chairs were a throw-in along with the parking pass or I bought seats and then immediately turned around and bought chairs. Sounds like a bit of a senior moment if its the latter.

There was an unannounced Blues band that pre-opened and they were really good. I will have to find out their name and try and see them again.

Cheap Trick wasn't on point for every single song, but were really good at the high points. When they played Ain't that a Shame, with the circling, buzzing guitars at the begining, I was thinking that this is what me and Amy remembered. Surrender and I want You to Want Me, of course, as well.

Rick Neilsen owns a Pizza restaurant in Chicago called Piece. It is so good. I don't like Chicago Pizza and his place is East Coast style. We used to go for work once a year or so. He had his crazy, five headed guitars as well.

I know that Billy Gibbons is as old as dirt (He was a Jimi Hendrix opening act), but he still wails that '59 Gibson Les Paul. They sounded great all throughout, but the show was almost an exact replica of the one I saw three years ago. He's kind of funny also, in a low key way; "Fifty years, Same three guys..same three chords."

QOTD: I don't think that I could live anywhere with venomous snakes and/or scorpions

Breakfast: Bratwurst

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Hamburger

Snack: PB Fit

Dinner TBD

Have a great day, all!

Sounds like it was a fun night!

We went to the Spinners game today--it was about an hour away, but it was a championship playoff. We go to see the PawSox more often but they are both fun. We have a college league that plays literally in our back yard, and it's super cheap to get in, so that's fun, too!
