Feeling dizzy and faint?

I have noticed recently.....within the past couple weeks or so, whenever I stand up I get this sort of dizzy/faint feeling. Like my vision gets fuzzy for a few seconds and I have to grab ahold of something or sit down because for a minute it feels like I could pass out. Figured it might be blood pressure, but it's 101/70....so good there. Then I thought maybe blood sugar?

Anyone else get this?

It's very common and it's called orthostatic hypotension.

You can resolve it by pumping your feet/legs if you have been seated for any length of time.

Yes, what Kim said. When you are sitting the blood pools in your lower legs. Because you lost weight the pump has slowed down and it take longer to get up to your head again. Pumping your legs will get it flowing again before you get up.

Yep! Drink more water, as long as I'm above 100oz no gray outs, a couple days in a row below that, the orthostatic hypertension gets me. Fortunately that is an easy fix!

Thanks all! I've been reading up on it and I know I don't get in nearly enough water. I need to start doing better. I'm so used to just drinking when I'm thirsty and that's it. I know that's why my lips are always so dry and cracked.

I hope you are feeling better soon. If your blood sugar is one point, (and you know you aren't getting enough water), sounds like it is hopefully an easy fix compared to some other issues. It sure packs a punch though, doesn't it?
