Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I am so annoyed that I have to go in. I have a ton to do at home and literally nothing to do at work.

Yesterday was a great day out at schools :) I did grab a little time for a walk on the beach, where you can see the planes on the runway for take off. If you have ever flown into Boston...you know it feels like you are landing in the water? This is why (from the ground perspective)!

Accountability: I had some popcorn with dinner, but barely ate anything I brought with me because I was so busy on the road all day. I was glad I got out for that walk, too :)

QOTD: Tell us about your Thanksgiving plans! Grim and I are hosting! We are expecting 12 people, which is the smallest group we've ever had (no complains!). It's a mix of mostly my family, plus Grim's daughter and her boyfriend. We'll have dinner around 2pm, then a "forced march" walk around 4pm while it is still light out, to make room for dessert!

Good morning everyone! I'm super annoyed that I have to go into work on Friday when we are literally going to be dead. I was looking forward to an extra long weekend. I was always told that it was first come first served when it came to approving time off. Well I call BS because I submitted my request back in September to be off and the new girl submitted hers just last week. She got approved and I got denied. Ok gonna get off my soapbox now and try to get out of my bad mood! Lol

QOTD: We normally go to my parents for Thanksgiving. It's just going to be my mom, dad, brother, his girlfriend and me. Mom does the cooking of the turkey and all the trimmings.....she wouldn't have it any other way. Lol. I normally bring a side dish or a dessert. This year I'm making a peanut butter chocolate pie that I'm not going to have any of. I've had an unopened pack of Oreos in my kitchen since last Saturday that I'm making the cookie crust with. I've hid them so I don't have to see them and be tempted! Making the pie tonight to get rid of those damn devil cookies! Lol

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda

L: turkey and cheese roll up

D: salmon and veggies

I am super annoyed that I am sitting here, too. We all know that we will probably get out early--why can't they just tell us one way or another, now??

Morning! I'm working from home today and then off for the rest of the week. We're traveling to Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving to have dinner with my friend's family. Which means I need to pack today, including stuff for the dog since he's going with us and then being boarded down there. Oh, and I have to go pick up the smoked turkey which is about 40 minutes away.

QOTD: I guess I answered that above. I was originally going to be cooking just for the four of us but my friend offered to book us a hotel with her credit card points and have us come down there. So, I guess that's what we're doing!

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x2 (maybe a Latte at some point too)
  • English Muffin, Bacon, Cheese, Egg
  • Lunch TBD, but maybe egg salad - I'm trying to use up stuff in the fridge
  • Chicken Drumsticks & Asparagus
  • Snacks: Apple w/ PB, Cheese

I ran 4 miles yesterday evening and I'll be doing another 4 today. Tomorrow is a rest day and then Friday will be 2 beach miles and Saturday will be 5 beach miles!

We used to do an annual golf trip to Myrtle, but I retired from it couple of years ago. Some great courses.

Good morning, everybody!

Both of my two oldest are back from Waco, yay!!

I got my ultrasound results back and my Baritrician said that they looked completely normal. So, it will remain a bit of mystery as to why I ended up in the emergency room two weeks ago. I'm not complaining, though. Maybe something got stuck.

Also, I finally finished the enormous tub of Benefiber that has been occupying an outsized portion of our pantry for the last 14 months. My surgeon's post operative constipation plan was based on Milk of magnesia and then Magnesium Citrate. When that wasn't working, I bought the big Benefiber tub. Finally, a few days later, based on advice from this page, I started Miralax. For the last year plus I have been having the Benefiber and Miralax in the morning. I never really thought the fiber was doing anything, but I wanted to fini**** so that I could get it out of the pantry. Well, this morning, I finally was able to put it into the recycles. Marlyn will be thrilled to have the storage space back.

I am working from home today. Four calls and that will be it unless something comes up that requires my immediate attention. Fran at the gym if NYMom is reading today.

Also, I have decided that today will be the last day of protein bars for 2019. We will have plenty of real food in the house over the weekend and the same will be the case on our cruise in late December. Three weeks of bearing down when I go back to work and I will have a 6 week re-set.

QOTD: We are running/walking in a 5-K on Thursday morning 8:00 as a family. For dinner, I am actually going to my bosses. But we have worked together for over twenty years, travel together and our kids all know each other. There will be wine

Breakfast: Chaffles

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Caprese sandwich at this deli in our town that is closing shortly

Snack: Light and Fit

Have a great day, all!
