Good morning! Smart choice to stay home JB, I imagine in that weather your 5 hour commute could be longer and to not have anything to do at the other end would make me crazy. Feel very lucky we have the option to work from home in bad weather.

Its always an adventure around here! Currently waiting to see what kind of commotion I caused by setting off the alarm on our lobby. Motion activated, I'm usually the first one in, no one gave me the code. It's very annoying.

menu yesterday was

4.2 oz ever roast chicken

coffee with half and half x3

carb master cottage cheese

light and fit blackberry

built bar

LOL. I can just picture you...nobody gave me the alarm code, so what do you expect from a hard working woman who comes in so early? (tapping foot)

The good news is I now have the alarm code and they didn't actually send the police before I reached the facilities person.

Hi JB, how lovely to have a day to stay in jammies! I have a slow day too, inexplicably, though Thursday I have multiple hours where I am triple booked so THAT should be interesting.

QOTD: I wrap 95% of gifts and only use bags that I have around for a few things (and have to wrap the items in tissue paper before the bag because, kids!). I do not enjoy wrapping one bit, and I am not very good at it. I collect gifts that people will like throughout the year, so typically I have a boatload of gifts to wrap by Thanksgiving. Luckily, two weeks ago we had a five hour QBR (quarterly business review) that was virtual, so I set up my wrapping "station" (dining room table) and went to town. I had my laptop set up, while I listened and wrapped and wrapped and wrapped. I am all done and will only likely have to wrap a few more stragglers. And, if Kris gets me something (though we said we wouldn't), he will have me wrap my gifts! But he first uses his non-opposable thumb wrapping skills to put a paper around it so I don't know what it is...

Here is my tree and allll the poorly wrapped gifts lol!

I tried to find a pic from 2009 and do you know, I avoided the camera at all costs, other than my face in a pic. How sad, right?

B: 1 cup cottage cheese (no ever roast left!)

L: Tuna mixed with olives and roasted red peppers and feta and olive oil and spices

D: Out to dinner with two close friends - it's this sort of fancy small plates place called Chloe. Their food is phenomenal. I will have bites of everything, which is how you eat there. And the bill will be far too high.

Have a fab day, everyone!

Holy moly, look at all those presents already!!!
You are like my goal: shop throughout the year, wrap by thanksgiving, be all done by Dec 1st. In my dreams.

Well, it works out that way because Kris and the kids' birthdays are all Jan/Feb and mid-March. So for the next eight months, anything I buy goes into my secret hiding spot. Whether it's stuff on clearance at Ross or Marshalls, or random things I get on Amazon Prime Day, or whatever...it gets saved until Christmas ha ha. They get nada between their birthday and Christmas!

Nice job! I am done wit 99% of my shopping and I "wrapped" (bagged) most of mine this weekend, too, but we don't have a tree to put them under, so they are just in piles all over the house! Last year we put up a little artificial tree with no breakable ornaments and the cats still managed to make a mess of it, so we'll wait until the last minute to put it up this year.

we gave up on that years ago. Got tired of the cats climbing the tree and knocking the ornaments off!
