I would definitely do a good dose of stool softeners, as much water as you can tolerate and another bottle of mag citrate before your appointment.

At this point you may be in line for a manual removal and you do NOT want that!

Have you had your labs drawn recently? Vitamin deficiencies, especially iron, can leave you feeling exhausted. Any doctor can check your blood work, even your GP, so it would probably be a good idea to get that checked out.

If you are seeing a specialist, you must have seen your regular doctor first? If so, did you get a complete physical exam with extensive lab work which can detect irregularities? Have you changed supplements lately? Extra iron can contribute to constipation; if so, Miralax is a good product. At seven years post-op, my steadily declining iron levels made an iron infusion necessary. The hematologist thinks periodic iron infusions is in my future even with daily iron supplement-taking. Let us know what you find out.

Hello, make sure your Dr. tests your thyroid. Before my hypothyroidism was diagnosed I was tired, cold and felt drained all the time. It was also almost impossible to have a bowel movement. If you feel full and sick and aren't having regular bowel movements, you could be blocked up. I also use miralax (actually the Costco version) and it helps with that. Good luck!
