What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?

Happy Fri-Yay everyone! I have to say this week went by shockingly quickly, compared to last week. Probably because work picked up and got interesting again, phew! I can't say I am too excited for the weekend, though, because I have absolutely no clue how to spend the time without feeling overwhelmed by boredom...but I will get creative and figure something out. I heard Tiger King is a good binge watch. I think Ozark might drop this weekend, too? I need some non-tv things to do, though.

Random selection from the week for Photo Friday.

Trying out my filtered mask.

We shaved Grim's beard off yesterday so that masks would be more effective for him when he goes out. We had a little fun getting it off :)

The Make Way for Duckings statues on the Boston Common are wearing masks, too!

Accountability: That meme couldn't speak to me more. My good habits about exercise and movement from last week really bit the dust this week. I am so ****** if I don't start moving every day.

QOTD: You are locked in Quarantine and can only have items that start with the letters in your first name. What do you have?

Here is mine. I like my list, food, safety and fun!

  • Utensils

Friday! Yay!! Yesterday I started at 6 am and finished at 7 pm so I am looking forward to the weekend, such that it is! I am still getting in half an hour or so of walking every day but not at the scale I should be. I?ll work in a plan for next week.

Tiger King is bizarre but do recommend! Love your pics!

weekend plans are a new puzzle, a break from news, Picard and Tell Me a Story on streaming, maybe try some keto baking and a virtual brunch with my girl gang tomorrow.

This week I tried to do all my projects in the mornings and evenings during the week and relax over the weekend. My brain is tired. I did pretty good, all laundry done and put away, house clean, blinds dusted, nail polish organized and hair colored!

menu today

Ever roast deli chicken and slice cheddar

burger patty and slice cheddar

cottage cheese

light and fit greek

my completed puzzle from last week and some words to live by and before and after pics of the hair.

Cool puzzle!

Jen, I wanted to respond to your post yesterday, but sometimes the late night posts get lost. One thing that we heard at our CASA meeting yesterday was that calls to the Illinois DCFS are way down, because the mandated reporters have to be in social isolation. So, your concerns are absolutely correct. They are trying to train as many advocates as possible anticipating a surge in reports once the children and teachers return to school.

That's good that they are trying to be prepared!!

I was talking to my sister yesterday; their school is delivering meals to all the kids that need them but is using the school resource officer to do it, so they can check in on families they know are at risk. She lives in a rural area, k-12 school, and I know something like that wouldn't be possible everywhere but it's good to see communities doing what they can.

The last time I had colored it myself was around 2009 and I turned it hunter safety orange. I like orange but that was not a good look, lol. I used e-salon, good color choice,

good directions and my hair actually feels nice and healthy still!

Hmmm, I might have to try it. Who knows when the hair salons will be able to open up again.
