16 Years Ago Today

Hi All,

16 years ago today I made the journey to RNY surgery and here I am still down 120lbs and living life to the fullest. I have done so much in the past 16 years that I probably would've never done prior. Hiking, biking, traveling, furthering my education, so much of it was due to the confidence I gained from my weight loss.

I relied so much on this site back then and I just want to reach out to anyone who may need to hear this - 16 years later it is still awesome! I am not going to say there are not moments that are difficult. There is an old saying, "if you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got" If I go back to my old eating (and sedentary) habits, I will gain the weight back. It is just a tool, but it is a remarkable tool.

Reaching out, relying on others is also a great tool so please reach out to me if you feel the need.

I don't get on much, but I do remember wondering what happened to folks long term, so I wanted to share.

It's still good :)

Ooooops, it wasn't 16 years ago, it was 14 years ago! that's what you get when you're trying to post and do a work related call at the same time, lol.

The message is still the same! :)
