Morning all! It's been a rough morning with stomach issues. Ugh! Accountability was decent yesterday and today will surely be even better.....hopefully.

QOTD: Well my dad named me Debbie because he loved Little Debbie snack cakes. So yeah, I'm named after a snack cake.....sigh. So I got called that a lot...I just wasn't very little! Lol. I never much liked my name because it's so common and people would always call me Deborah and I'm like that's not my name....it's Debbie. And they were always like well Debbie is short for Deborah so Deborah is your real name. Sigh...I'm like do you want to see my birth certificate because I swear to you it's just Debbie! I never could win that battle. Mom originally wanted to name me Victoria, but my grandmother (dads mom) didn't like it and said it was too much of a grown up name for a little girl. Umm it's not like I was going to stay a little girl forever. Eh I probably wouldn't have liked that name either though since I'd probably be called Vickie for short. Ugh

That's a hilarious story about your name! In retrospect it's pretty shocking that Grim didn't name his daughter Debbie, too, haha.

G'morning everybody!

Wow, what a weekend! Not in a good way, I don't have the self control not to watch. So I keep watching and crying. On Sat we went to our local demonstration, very peaceful but oh so heart breaking. I didn't see it with my own eyes, but later on saw the pics of our police chief and mayor both kneeling. I keep saying our county is weird but they are also very loving.

DS is DONE with high school. Yesterday he took his absolute last final online. Thu is his drive through/parade graduation. For celebration we asked him where he wants to order dinner from; he said Taco Bell! Serious? All the sushi and vegetarian restaurants we have and you want Tacobell? I will never understand this kid of mine.

QOTD: there is a song (I had to google it) by Tommy Roe named Sheila. Also in Australia Sheila means girl, as in bunch of sheilas there.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: Costco chicken skewers
  • S1: green Chile smoked sausage (mini)
  • D: Taco Bell cheese quesadilla (1/4)
  • E: 4 miles wog

Let's hope people feel heard this week, and bunker boy comes out.

One of my little sisters is Elizabeth Ann. When she was about a week old, my father called her Lizzie. My mother blew up at him, said she hated the name Lizzie and never to call her that again. She was to be called Betty Ann.

When Betty Anne was twelve, she announced that her name was to be Liz and not to call her anything else. My mother did not like that and continued to call her Betty. At some point they compromised with Betsy and that is her name now.

LOL! Liz, Betty, Betsy, Beth, and Libby (all names people have tried to call me) are rarely substitutable. I wish I had reverted to Elizabeth at some point but I could never make it stick (possibly because I had a long last name and then appended my married name).

Oh and Ann (without the "e") is the most common middle name with Elizabeth (it is mine), again probably because of Elizabeth being a long first name.

My mother always said her name was Mary Elizabeth and we were surprised after her death to find her birth and baptism certificates with her name as Mary Ann. I guess she preferred Elizabeth for a middle name and just used that.
