Good morning all. Cheese and me, we are best buddies. Friends can be replaced! It's going to be a warm one today, and we get the granddaughters tonight. I'm looking forward to the coloring, and pop up pastry shop (no literally, they have a little pop up tent that's a pastry shop at our house, so there are always paper donuts and cookies to buy...lol). That's my gratitude for the day.

QOTD: I told exactly 10 people. Almost all were immediate family and some were at the last minute, like my sweet Dad, so as to not to worry him. My sister had the surgery maybe 20 years ago but succumbed to addiction issues and passed away. Some others knew I had to have surgery, mostly my staff, but I didn't tell them why. I was pretty sick from gastritis at the time so they knew it was about my stomach, but that's it. I didn't even tell my husband I was considering it until I had done about a year's worth of research and my PCP gave me a referral. It was very important to me I made the decision based on what I wanted and needed, so I kept it close to the vest. Now, if people ask me, if I like them I tell the whole truth. If I don't, or don't believe they are genuine, I tell them it's been a rough year working with my doctor and dietitian. Everyone who knows has been 100% supportive. I have one friend that I am allowed to whine to. My best friend and that's our deal. She wants me to tell the whole truth, but mostly, I am just so happy I have this new chance that even on my bad days, I really don't want to whine or complain.

Menu:

B: coffee and 1/2 PP shake

L: chicken thigh with a bit of Irish cheddar melted on it (so yum) and tomato on the side

D: roast turkey, sweet potato, veggies

S: 1/2 PP shake

Peace, Everyone!

Quick post as I got up late and have a Zoom meeting shortly. Most important, CONGRATULATIONS TO TRISH on 5 years post-op. Fantastic work!

And I just hit the bottom of my target range this morning (120). A total surprise as I have been hovering around 122 for a few weeks now. Apparently stalls happen when losing regain too!

QOTD: I told DH, my kids and my SIL prior to WLS, but that was it. After I hit goal, I opened up to anyone who wanted to hear how I lost the weight (at work, family, friends, etc.). I wanted to help educate if I could.

Good morning JB and Menuers,

I love the meme today. I have been contemplating changing up my dairy game recently. It is a staple kind of. I am addicted to the non dairy creamers that I know are terrible and also cheese. So I been listing to Gabby Reese podcast when I run and her husband has a line of superfoods that include coffee and creamers. They have a trial pack so I was going to try the creamers they are plant based and 1 has turmeric to help with inflammation. I ordered it waiting for it to come. I just want to see if it will satisfy my need for creamer without adding all the goo to my diet, I'll let you know my thoughts after I try it but if your interested in checking it out search Laird superfoods. I still see no way of giving up cheese anytime soon.

QOTD: I told my husband, One co-worker(because he would be taking care of my accounts while I was out) and my best friend who lives in California and a friend I work out with *****ally does not no anyone in my inner circle. After I had complications My husband told some friends and when I finally got out of the hospital I told my family. Your right though JB people do ask can you eat that? I say I can eat whatever I want I just have to make a conscience decision if I eat it if I want to live with the consequences. Well what are the consequences they ask? and I tell them there is a chance that I may get sick and throw up, or I have to deal with the scale tomorrow. They do back off after they realize I know what I am doing. Just like exercise my DH sometimes says do you have to go to the gym? I say no I do not have to but it is a commitment I made to myself when I decided to go on this journey so yes I am going to exercise.
