Hello everyone

Anyone here with anemia that had RNY ?
how did the RNY affect you? I'm anemic and having RNY next month.

For me the anemia is worse. I sometimes have to get iron infusions. You will need to take iron supplements and get regular bloodwork. Good luck with the surgery.

Thanks for the reply, I'm already getting iron infusions . Do your numbers ever go to normal?

I was anemic pre surgery but very inconsistent on taking iron.

Post surgery I am diligent and consistent and my iron and ferritin is higher than it's been in close to 20 years and continues to move positively.

HW: 306 SW: 282 GW: 145 (reached 2/6/19) CW:150
