LOL! Mostly Irish (so am I), retired, 6 months older than me, worked as a CFO for several companies prior to retirement in his late 50's. An hour away on Cape Cod - 2.5 in Florida. Really nice hazel eyes and good smile. Smart, confident, modest, humorous. White hair a bit receded but still has a lot of it. Three kids and 2 grandchildren he is very close to. Seems to like most of the same things I do (being outdoors, the beach, traveling). And I think he liked me a lot too. So far so good!

Keeping fingers and toes crossed. Sounds really good, and hazel eyes are a plus. The physical distance nowadays is not a big deal. Keep us posted.
I wanna keep track of hazel eyes guy in my head, so his name will be HZ!

Mornin' All -

felt kind of crappy last night and this morning (G/I). Crampy and just generally blah. Not hungry at all this morning. I had more-than-the-usual amount of fiber and artificial sweetener yesterday (in both cases, trying to ward off overeating), so I suspect one of those. Or both. I'm going to have to take it easy today (eating-wise). As in few calories, and things that don't typically cause G/I issues.

I have online Mah Jongg at 10:00, and then a friend and I are going to bike to some restaurant for a late lunch. I'll have to suggest one that has easy-on-the-stomach appetizers. Not only due to my current issues, but I only have a small under-the-seat bag on my bike, so there's no way to schlep a to-go box home.

QOTD: I eat a lot of things with expired dates. I'm more careful with perishable items - milk, for example, usually doesn't last more than a handful of days after its expiration date (if that) - but even some perishable items can last well beyond that. I've eaten eggs and yogurt (although not homemade yogurt) even a month after the date. Dry goods can last for weeks or months - they legally have to put an expiration date on food items - but some things really do last for months. So yes - if it still smells and looks OK, I'll eat it.

TSS: 5 y 2 m

B: maybe just a protein shake

MS: if anything, just a protein shake or bar

L: some kind of appetizer (i don't know where we're going yet)

AS: I'm guessing I'll feel better by then - so maybe a L&F yogurt or piece of yogurt pie

D: I was going to have what I'd originally planned to eat last night (1 Costco chicken skewer, ear of corn (elote style), and a small salad with light dressing), but it depends on my gut situation. The corn and salad, especially, might not work...

at least my weight is down this morning! Nice surprise - and not expected after yesterday!!

have a great day, everyone!!
