G'morning everybody!

Missed you yesterday. Was out of the house bright and early because we are selling the kids' car (Ford Escape 2002 - as old as my son) and had to drop it off at the mechanic for a last time check up. Wouldn't wanna give the car to another first time driver with something wrong. We had the car for 6 years, since DD turned 16, and it was a great car for the kids. Infact they were both sad we are selling it, but it's just sitting in front of the house and we are paying for insurance.

Another good find at Trader Joe's: jicama wraps!!! Don't know if you guys remember when Costco had those small cauliflower wraps. I loved them, they were small with only 8 cals and maybe 1g carb. After a couple of months they changed the size of those wraps from taco size to burrito size with cals up to 30. So I didn't buy them anymore. Imagine my excitement when I found the jicama wrap at TJ. For two wraps it's 15 cals and 3 carbs. I'm not gonna even talk about everything pumpkin at TJ; if I could eat carbs I would eat myself back to 260 lbs with the stuff I can get at TJ just pumpkin related.

QOTD:see above. Anything pumpkin related. Maybe because I didn't have this growing up, but now hearing the ads about pumpkin spice or seeing pumpkin anything at the stores is equal in happiness to a xmas tree for me.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: 2 jicama wraps + shredded pork
  • S: barebells bar
  • D: salsa chicken with pinto beans and corn
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training

Happy Taco Tue, everybody.

I love everything pumpkin, so I should probably stay away from TJ's.

I wish my area had some of those cool stores! I am grateful for natural grocers being here.

AND yes...all the pumpkin stuff is so so tempting!

Did I tell you I found barebells with different flavors on amazon? Once I am out of built bars I may order the salty peanut version.

Oooh, I didn't know. I love the caramel cashew but now I'm gonna check amazon to see what other flavors they have. One thing about bars sold by amazon; it'**** and miss with freshness. At least that's what I noticed when I was ordering Quest bars by the truck load from amazon.

Good morning all! Love that meme JB! I always joke with my friend that I'm looking for my Splenda daddy! Lol. Accountability was pretty good yesterday. Hoping today will be the same.

QOTD: I love everything about the Fall! The cooler weather, the beautiful changing leaves, pumpkin spice everything! Brings back memories as a child.....every Fall we used to get together with the whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins) and stay in a cabin up in the mountains. It was so beautiful up there in the Fall! We would pick apples, drink hot apple cider, eat hot apple fritters, hike the trails and take pictures by the waterfall. It was just a lot of fun that we looked forward to every year! Miss those times!

B: coffee w/Splenda x 2

B2: protein shake (premier shake mixed with a frozen banana)

L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast and a hard boiled egg

D: 4 oz ribeye steak and a small salad

S: L&F Greek yogurt

QOTD- The only thing is Football! I hate the shorter days and cold and darkness. The trees don't really turn colors like on the east coast.

The rain didn't materialize so we are still socked in with major smoke. It is so depressing, the weather has been cooler due to the smoke. Our air quality is still considered hazardous. It might improve by Thursday, the forecast is rain which would help clear this out. I've even had to turn on the heat.

I have an appointment with my NP this afternoon. I need to have some blood work done, make sure everything is OK. Last time my blood pressure was up, so hopefully it's back to normal. I usually have really good BP so I don't know what's going on. I have something going on with my ear it feels like I'm in a tunnel. I'm hoping it's not an ear infection but I think it might be.

Have a great day everyone!
