Morning everyone!

Ok, gotta start today with an OH parable brought to you by our 2 kitties, Fezzik & Inigo. A year ago at the vet, they were told they are overweight and put on "diet" dry food. They are enthusiastic eaters, so they didn't really complain about the new diet food, but they definitely ate less, and when they had their yearly check up, they had each lost some weight (yay!). Anyway, I ordered their usual diet food through Instacart last time, and when it came, I emptied the bag into the large Tupperware containers and didn't pay attention to reading the bag. Well, I still have no idea what the person bought, but it sure wasn't diet food! The cats have been INHALING their food lately. Grim has even had to add an extra scoop to their dish in the middle of the night for fear that they'll eat his eyeballs, lol. Anyway, we switched them back out to the miserable old diet food and it's all just sitting there this morning. It's a good thing they haven't figured out how to order on Instacart themselves, yet, haha.

It's a good reminder that if there is no crappy food in the house, you will not eat crappy food. I know it's not rocket science, but sometimes it takes a special reminder. Here is a pic of my happy boys :)

So much for those two quiet days... yesterday was bananas again! I talked to a friend who has a similar job in another district and she told me she has cried 3 times in the last week. Glad it's not just me--this is an insane pace.

QOTD: What cartoon world would you like to live in? I'm torn between The Peanuts or SpongeBob--both of those worlds seem so nice and happy! I want to live in a happy place!

JB, your kitties are so cute....and the keep it out of the house parable is so true.

QOTD - I would live in Scooby Doo, solving mysteries, traveling the world.

I'm on a 4 am start, 3 hour "team building" call for my new project. Not a big deal for me, I was up at 2:19 but my west coast colleagues said they were just pulling an all nighter before they jumped on at 3 am there time. I love being part of a global team but it does have some drawbacks, lol

Menu today

coffee+half and half x 4 (my excuse for the extra is the 4 am call!)

L&F greek

Cottage Cheese cup

I might pick up some bacon from one of our local restaurants that has a spicy bacon appetizer

built bar

Have a great Thursday everyone!

I am such an early bird that I sometimes think my body is just naturally on European time and maybe it's a sign I should move there ;)

Scooby Doo is a good one! Lots of snacks!

Good morning all! Is it Friday yet? I'm really drained and dragging this morning. Can't wait for this week to be over. So my book arrived yesterday, Breaking Free from Compulsive Eating. I've only gotten the first chapter read since yesterday was so busy and I was so mentally tired last night, but I'm excited to continue reading it! Accountability was good yesterday. Hoping I can finish out the week like this!

QOTD: Hmmm....I'd say Garfield. I can definitely relate to Garfield's laziness, obsessive eating, love of coffee and lasagne, disdain of Mondays, and diets! Besides, who wouldn't love a life of eating and sleeping all day? Lol

B: coffee w/Splenda x 2

B2: protein shake (premier shake mixed with a frozen banana)

L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast and a hard boiled egg

D: 4 oz ribeye steak and a small salad

S: L&F Greek yogurt and fruit

If reincarnation is real, I hope to be good enough in this life to come back as a house-cat in the next life.

Morning! It's going to be a wash out day here as the remnants of Sally come through our area. Then we're going to see a run of days in the mid-high 60's which is unheard of for N.C. in mid-September. It's nice, but I'm hoping it goes back up before our beach vacation, please and thank you.

QOTD: Bob's Burgers for sure. I want to try one his of burgers of the day, but also to hang out with Louise.

I'm honestly not super certain on food today. Groceries are being delivered this afternoon, so lunch is sort of up in the air. Dinner is going to be what I planned for last night since the kid who was supposed to cook it was gone to her boyfriend's and we all just had popcorn for dinner instead.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Eggs, Cheese, Sausage
  • Chicken Parm

Good morning menu friends! QOTD Spongebob would be my pick. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.6 today. Miss Lily and I have our first walk in and will do more later. Neither one of us was.very motivated this morning but we did it anyway. After 8 years at this I guess that's to be expected sometimes. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 3 oz ribeye and 2 slices fried green tomato. Can't wait for the tomatoes! Have a wonderful day full of smart choices and stay safe everyone!
